A young woman named Alice returns to her hometown to end the haunting visions and grotesque dreams that plague her constantly. Her mind was filled with unanswered questions and the only way she believes she could put them to rest was by visiting the town once again. When she arrives to the desolate town, she discovers strange and hostile creatures lurking within. Still motivated by her quest for answers, Alice fights past the monsters with the sole incentive to ease her troubled mind.

This game features a Custom Battle System and Menu System. It also features a Custom Health Bar, intense gameplay, and a gripping story.

This game has three endings that depend solely upon how you play the game and what certain items you are able to get.

I don't know if this has happened to anybody else, but when I have the first aid kit in hand, the game lags. However, as soon as I use it, the game returns to normal.

Does this happen with any other pictures? What about the Lucent Orb icon?

No, it doesn't. It only happens with the first aid kit.

How bad is the lag? Is it unplayable? I might release another version.

It's pretty bad and not really playable at all.

I'll see if I can apply a fix and re-release in the near future. Thanks for trying the game out at least.
Hey, I did a Let's Play of this game.

Unfortunately, the newer version is completely unplayable. The frame rate is terrible. It lags pretty bad on most of the screens. I don't want to imagine trying to take on some of the monsters, bosses, and events with such bad frame rate. But I didn't have to imagine that because after the scene where you meet Clark, the screen goes black. I can see her health and the lucent orb icon, as well as the menu when I bring it up, but I can't see the map. It's not there, it just vanishes and I'm left staring at a blank screen.

Downloaded the patch but the same thing happens. This is a serious problem that needs to be fixed.

Let me know if you need anymore info.

I'm going to give this series a spin next as part of the RMN experience.
Either I'm being screwed with or the first dungeon in the game you have to find those books right? Well I couldn't reach it for no rhyme or reason. I looked into the game, and seems to me the teleporter is either not matching right or there is something else going on I'm not seeing. Thought I let you know. Redownloading and that patch I forgot to download. Hopefully that fixes my issue.

Did you refer to the walkthrough? It's outdated now. You only have to find the axe and break down the bookcase.

AHH! So that's why! See tried to use the axe on it actually, but I was not pressing up. Thank you!
Need to let you know about a oversight or if this was intentioned. The 723 password to the sewer door can be completely miss-able since I was rushing through. Had to use the guide to get through that one. Thought let you know if I find any story-stopper bugs/etc.

Also I supposedly have notes, but I can't access any notes. Not sure what's going on there.

Hmm, you are actually very right about the password. Thank goodness for the walkthrough then. :P

When there is dialogue saying that "Alice recorded the note", then it should be accessible through the Note option.
I still can't access any notes. Not that it matters to me since I'm able to get around.

Also another show-stopper bug found. It's the room with the L card with the ladder. Ladder is supposed to lead somewhere, but the teleporter seems to be missing.

Also this is more of a difficulty issue. When you get to the apartment there is a chance the player might have low health, and avoiding those monsters get can pretty tough in there. I had to force myself to put one of those medical kits into a area (a kit I didn't use yet as the game remembers what you already used). Hate to had to do that, but I wasn't getting anywhere.

EDIT:
I finished the game, I got the good ending, but I managed to figure out how the great ending was achieved, so I got the more happier ending :). I give this game maybe like 3.8 out of 5, it was ok despite some things.

Gameplay: (3/5)
Either it can be easy or incredibly difficult depending how much health you have, and where you are in the game. There is a possibility you can get stuck this way. The bosses however were balanced, and had no issue with those. Some of the rooms were empty, but I guess that would be left to a player's imagination on it.

Graphics: (4/5)
You made good use of graphics, and set the tone pretty well in almost all areas though I felt it was still lacking here, and there, and could have decorated abit more. I can see you were going for the Silent hill style too. You could change those red squiggly things into slime blob like things in order to get rid of the boxed look else it looks odd, and out of place. Just my specific opinion on that however.

Sound/Music (5/5):
I'd say you did a good job with that, I had no complaints.

Story (3.5/5):
Now the plot was fantastic and takes some ques from Silent Hill, so I could understand the style of what you were going for. The characters made sense, so no complaints there. There was alot of swearing in this whether for good or bad depending on the scene. Also the piano scene gets a little odd for no reason, and I'm just like "what?".

I had a good time, so it was not a totally bad experience for me.

I guess the next thing to play is your side-chapter to DP2 before DP2 actually starts. Till next I post.
Thank you for the mini review! Sorry for the bugs. It seems I can never stomp them all. : /
Finished it! God Clark is a hard son of a....
I barely killed him with alot o' luck.
The eternal wait everytime you die on one of the most randomly difficult bosses in history is really annoying. But it gets one thinking. It was still pretty frustrating to die.

In that regard.
How in the Holy Mother of Heaven did I get the "Great" ending? What exactly are the values that count toward it? I ask because I really wouldn't have thought to get this ending. I barely made it out alive.

So if anyone knows the exact requirements I'd be glad to hear them, as I'd be interested in seeing the other endings. I'm also not afraid of those Monsters anymore, since I met Yoda and became a Jedi.

Is there a "bad" ending?

Anyway. Great game. If you stick with it to the end. Otherwise it's a very frustrating experience for whoever gives up. I know. I was there.

Good job! I actually had to take a look into the game and see how to get certain endings (lame of me, I know), and it seems that using a lucent orb in the Clark battle and using three lucent orbs in general will bag you the best ending. Not using any will get you a bad ending.
What are the requirements to get the good end? not the best end, just the good.

Umm, just one thing, "custom health bar" shouldn't be considered a feature.
Except from that, I wanna play!

Well, it's safe to say that there is one. Lol I kinda remember making a health bar in a very old game that existed on an old computer of mine with a functioning health bar. I think I did it with conditional branches + variables. Inspiration from RPG Maker Story with Dark Priest!! That's an old one!
