Current Version: Final Release v1.1.2

The genocide of the magi has begun. The Empire has spread it's reign around the globe. Why now though? After all these centuries of peace, why would the Empire want to eradicate the magi from existence? Is it truly out of fear for the powers that magi can posses, or is it something far more sinister...?

Eternal Twilight is an old-school styled fantasy RPG with a Turn-Based battle system. I have made much use of the plethora of amazing scripts that Yanfly has created for the MV system to bring a battle system that is familiar, yet original in its own right. I am a firm believer of quality over quantity when it comes to designing a battle system and the types of skills a player has at their disposal. The battle system in Eternal Twilight features the following:

  • Unique weapon/armor system, where enemy drops will "randomly select" a rarity for the item dropped, granting bonus stats to that item! Legendary Bronze Sword anyone? YES PLEASE!
  • Intelligent enemy AI that will keep the player on their toes. The AI will respond according to the player's actions to make sure "LOL-SPAM ATTACK" will lead to the players demise.
  • Five unique character classes, each with a vastly different play style than the last!
  • Skills come in all shapes and sizes, ranging from Instant cast spells that don't consume the character's turns, to very powerful attacks, buffs, and heals that have cooldowns, making sure the player strategically chooses when to use certain abilities.
  • This and much more!

Eternal Twilight v1.1.2 is LIVE!

Hey everyone! Long time no talk! Just chiming in to say that I have uploaded Eternal Twilight v1.1.2, which just addresses some balancing/difficulty. Okay byeeeee~~~~ :D

=== General Balance Changes ===
* Non-Boss enemies have had their MaxHP reduced by about 5-10% across the board.
* EXP gained from all non-boss enemies has been increased by +5% and all bosses now reward +%10 more EXP when defeated.
* The DEFENSE stat has been slightly buffed, reducing enemy damage by about 5% more than before.
* Soul Trigger has been buffed: Stat boost increased from +15% to +20%, MP Cost reduction increased from 10% to 20% reduction, and TP regain increased from +5% to +10% per turn.

=== Character Changes ===
* Barrage and Raining Arrows damage increased by 5%

* Holy Fire damage increased by 10%
* Smite damage increased by 5%

* Wind Chi damage increased by 5%
* Gaian Tide damage increased by 10%

* Wound and Body Slam damage increased by 10%
* Shadow Strike and Obliterate damage increased by 5%

Dev Notes: Some of you may be wondering: "Why make the game easier now?" Well, I take great pride in the difficulty and balance of Eternal Twilight, but I also know that the difficulty can and is turning away a good amount of players. To make the game more approachable for the more casual player, I decided to tone down the difficulty a bit. I put in so much time, love, and effort into my game, and as a dev, I WANT people to play it. If making the game slightly easier gets more people to play the game, then that's the price to pay! Ferny... over and out! :D

How to beat soul forge boss?
hit both minions to zero hp, they recover fully.
survived Armageddon but dying after a turn.
how to win this battle?
@olddigger - You have to "kill" his minions multiple times. Everytime you get one of them to below 10% HP, he will take some of his own HP to heal them up. After this happens 5 times, then you go into the final phase where you can finally damage his HP.

Make sure you're using that special skill that Jarl gives you when the minions get to 6-8+ stacks of their passive to reduce the damage the deal as well.

Good luck!
Excellent game!

Completed in EASY and NORMAL modes.
Battle mechanics are real fun and addictive.
Prizes from Trophies make it more engaging.

Major irritant is lengthy conversation before boss battles. There should be skip option for repeat attempts and replay the game.

Some bugs
1. Got Healthy Diet III while syphoning
2. Bosses defeated not update Tyrus battle
3. Treasures opened and Battles won also not shown correctly, maybe after defating tyrus.
4. Once you enter Enclave Fortune Smortune can not be finished.
5. In Muyan tunnels, red slime does not allow hitting other enemies. Is this by design?

Bloody Abomination battle.
Damien does not die. Spells used Divinity, Uphold. Also Severed Soul was not cleared.
Though battle won, errors thrown afterwards.
@olddigger - Thank you for the bug reports! Out of curiosity, which version are you playing on?

1 - It's a miswording on the achievement itself. Technically it can trigger by just using ANY item, so the Junk Siphon, Spirit Bell, etc can all add +1 to the trophy, haha.
2 - I just double checked the code and it looks like it should be working fine. I'll keep an eye on this one...
3 - Hmmmmm, I could have sworn I fixed this one. I'll have to keep an eye on this as well. :/
4 - This achievement, like a few others, have to be completed before a certain part of the story is passed. For example, the side-quest in Surox Village for Aaron has to be completed BEFORE you beat Minerva, otherwise it is no longer available.
5 - That is by design, I just didn't do a good job of explaining it. :X

As for the bug with Bloody Abomination, thank you for reporting that, I'll look into what might be causing that and how to fix it!

I am glad you enjoyed the game and played it through to the very end! ^_^

got some problem with the quest, where I got to find 12 orbs with the magic pickaxe in the Oasis..dont find the last 3..can sbd help me..want to go on.

Up to this point I played the game in Hard Mode and it it amazing how the story goes.. !! Maybe I leveled to much or crafted to good eg. I feel kind of to strong for a lot of the bosses I run into :D:D

I got also some Performance issues started at the point when Minerva came to group ;/ but its possible playing with it, Only that dashing feels like walking now.
@Kay94 - Good job on getting this far on Hard Mode! ^_^
It's good you leveled and crafted a lot, that's how you're SUPPOSED to play the game, hahah...

As for the performance issues, I don't know what might be causing that, I'm sorry.

Here is a little "map" to help you figure out where the Obsidian Rocks are.
Thanks a lot :) that helps! Your game is truly a masterpiece !! <3 totally lovin it !

I hope your working on a part 2 or at a new game amazing

This game has many effects running in the background. Your graphic card must be able to handle them to play.
My own lag is when saving, as each save is taking longer...
Hey dude, been playing the game for a while, but was hindered by this particular moment when the game just suddenly crashes after Luna's speech in the beginning moments of "Operation: Liberate Piatro". Dunno why this is happening, I had a smooth game play earlier.
@Yandere_chan - I've just uploaded an updated version of the game. Try downloading that one (just transfer your whole SAVE folder into the new download folder) and let me know if the problem persists.
Yepper doodle, it's still there. Thanks for the reply though, I'll look forward till the problem gets fixed.
@yandere_chan - I have no idea why it would be crashing there on you. In the past 2 weeks I've watched 2 streamers get through that part of the game with zero issues. Do you mind sending me your save file in a direct message so I can check it out?
Hey there!

I just want to say that I've watched some of this game by different youtubers at different sections. I really love the effort you put into the battle system. Both the mechanics behind every skill and the custom animations.

Saying that though, I don't feel the combat is my type of game as I prefer boss battles that are less lenghty and without the need to craft through a load of items to beat it. For both those reasons I'm not going to personally play this nor review it.

Still, I can tell it's a great game in many ways and brought a lot of enjoyment to a lot of people, and I can see the fun had in the challenge, so I want to congratulate you on that and on completing a game! :)

Good luck sorting out any other bugs as well, I know that's always the more annoying part for every game.
@boos405 - That is very sweet of you! Thank you so much for the kind words. ^_^

@Yandere_chan - sent you a link to download the save files. I was able to get your save just beyond the point that it was crashing on your end.
I see...I suspected as much that it was a performance problem on my part. Thanks dude!
In the Mios/Dios fight i got:Type error Failed to execute "create linear gradient" on canvasRenderingcontex2D Float parameter 3 is non-infinite
