The evil King Kentonus has gone ape. A rebellion has rebelled against him, but they're getting their asses handed to them. In a last ditch effort, they send a lone knight out to try and enlist the aid of renowned warrior priestess Libby. Only with her help may the resistance possibly win and save the realm.

This game was an entry into the RETROMANIA event, commemorating RMN's 10th Birthday.

Babby's First Gam

Heh.
So in a way, this is technically my first completed game submitted for the rest of the world to play. I have a couple of contest entries, but they're just dopey little things I didn't put much effort into. This is a heartfelt project I spent roughly six months on, if you add it all up. And to think, it was only supposed to take 3 weeks! If you ever need advice on workload projection and time management, stay the hell away from me.

Anyway, this will be tucked neatly under my belt as I move on to bigger and more ambitious horizons.

Are you up them before L20?

Well... Unity i understand... Libby only one tier, but these are because it was so limited...
Libby has a forced promotion, as is normal for any Fire Emblem lord.
I didn't promote any characters before they were level 20. You could probably promote Mirak and Gourd before 20 once or twice, since grinding them for 80 levels each would take a lot of time, but in Fire Emblem you usually shouldn't promote unless you have to.
Well... mostly levels are of course ... just nothing... or just hp up,... thats helps just little, but NOT much!
after try that again some 10 or even 20 times get near HP(mp) 2 of these 3 S and or Magic... Some times, at NOT even 30 at enough get least that like...

But it was too lucky if these all possible get up +1 and there cam Rhyme ring...
That´s happen ONLY blue MOON!! (youre can try 100 times and still youre about 1% possible THAT... or muuch smaller... )

Mirak and Groud lost stats... well... not HP..

I mean you could always reload your game before levelling up to gain a different set of stats or do you consider that cheating n hence not try it? Personally I did that a lot and also grinded a lot so all of my characters were max-tier and my final team only had Marrend at lvl 16 while others were lvl 20 n had rlly good stats esp the ones I was extra-biased to (aka Shin, Aegix n Ozzy) but all of them had great stats n had a role of their own in my team.

Okay so I finally finished the game n must say that was rlly fun. The plot twists were either cool or hilarious n I liked almost all.
8.5 or 9/10 for enjoyment n a smooth experience (save for one bug) Guess I will go with 8.75 :)

This might be a dumb question but I wondered if there is a link out there for Sim RPGmaker 95? I tried Google and the best I could find are virus links pretending to be it.

I literally logged back into RMN just to say that this game, despite my overall disdain for this site, is very well-made and pretty addictive? (at least in the sense that I can just spend hours playing it)

Feedback so far:
I would say my only gripes so far is that the difficulty kind of spikes around the time you get to Chapter 3. You introduce desert tiles that dampen movement but it doesn't feel like a smooth transition compared to the other maps that didn't have it (then again I don't know if Ch3 is the final chapter or not).

Also idk if making Gourd and Mirak mages would have helped (I made them an archer and soldier respectively~) but I feel like there is a poor distribution of party members with good magic defense. It becomes especially noticeable when you enter the Banne Jar dungeon and you have to face that entire army of witches, to which you realize that around... 3-4 of your entire party, out of 12+, have good enough magic defense to resist their onslaught.

Lastly, do you have a guide as to how stats work? Does speed, for instance, contribute to evasion rate?

Despite this I'm enjoying this game! I especially loved the part where you get to beat up Lockez.

Also, for fun, here's the status/thoughts/musings of my current party:

Libby - I can't remember her level rn but she has her use when needed. She definitely starts to fall off towards the later portions of this game so I'm glad to hear that she has a forced promotion.

Piano Tim (Gold Knight)- Through a few stat boosters and promotions he has become my best tank, and the best part is he's fast, can take hits, AND deal good damage. I love him he's OP <3

Mirack (Armor Knight) - My second-best tank currently. I think I allowed him to have the highest HP of the group? Can't remember atm.

Marrend (Armor Knight) - Early on he was my second-best tank, now I think he's surpassed by Mirack but he still does his job well, especially when I'm up against soldier-type enemies.

Gourd (Bow Knight) - Started off doing literally what was suggested, protecting him, and now he's one of my ranged attackers and I think among the highest level of the party? I think that just comes with archers being really good in this game.

Aegix (Bow Knight) - Highest damage of my archers <3

Unity (Sage) - She was definitely tough to raise at first but now I actually play her as a secondary caster (thanks to stat boosts), so now she fite, and protec. Also the dialogue you gave her was spot on and lovely.

Yellow Magic (That one promotion from wizard?) - He went form being a caster to a secondary healer for the most part. I only wish he had more range since I'm finding that I can't viably use him for anything else in these later parts of the game. He's good at what he does, though, hell he's even better than Unity in regards to healing.

Kloey (Falcon Knight) - She started off completely useless until I gave her the javelin. Now she's invaluable.

Rose (Pegasus Knight) - I am clinging to faith that she will be worth it in the future, because right now she's very risky to use in combat. In levels like the ones with opening doors, though, she's still valuable for scouting, and trapping some archers along with Kloey.

Kylalia (Sister) - Not really as great as Unity yet but I'm raising her up. At least she gets Angel at the start instead of later.

Shin (Paladin) - Shin is... uh... definitely not Piano Tim. He kind of sucks currently but I'm patient.

Dudesoft (Wizard)(DEAD) - Not really that distinguishable from YM but he was okay. He got killed in an unexpected attack from Sate (who I didn't even realize was there since he looked like every other skeleton), and I decided to just let him die. Sorry :(

Cap H (Swordsman) - Haven't gotten much use out of him since I typically lead the charge with the tanks/Piano/Libby. Not much else to say about him really.

Frogge (Sniper)(DEAD) - Poor kid died against the witches in the Banne Jar cave and I decided to press on because I was tired of all the resets I did with that fight due to characters dying. Probably would have been a stellar archer but alas I don't really need him.

You didn't have to fight the Witch battle then and there. It's why I made it an optional fight, specifically mentioned in dialogue with "That direction probably leads to loot" or something to that effect. You can always go back and revisit the shrines, so if you feel like a few extra levels or better gear are in order, take a rain cheque.
The same applies to the last battle in that dungeon (post-Banne Jar).

Thanks for posting your Party info though. I always like seeing how people's teams turn out. I'm glad someone managed to turn Piano Tim into a badass. In all my test plays, the RNG threw him a lot of dud levels.

But youre seen WHERE end battles at havew happen already... as i thinked... Oh my that end battle...
Some one said, at when that Libby at L20 it kill so many at near? Well... One GAME that happened... First battle map are something...

I know about the size restriction, my problem is that when I import my images, their color changes, it becomes ugly...
Despite this problem, SRPG maker 95 is the best software i can use for my project.
Could you please tell me how you've been able to import images in your games ?
