The Protomen are absolutely magical.
Just saying.

Please tell me RMN likes Heavy Metal!

Oh man, how could I forget about Skull Fist?
These guys are great. Saw them live a couple months back, and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen. Seriously, look at this picture. Amazing, it was.

Fuck off Poison is awesome metal

Agreed. (y)
I don't listen to bands like Poison often, but I enjoy them just as much as any other band.

Please tell me RMN likes Heavy Metal!

I enjoy my fair share of Metal. Personal favorite genre being Progressive Deathcore. Between the Buried and Me, Born of Osiris, Structures, After the Burial, The Contortionist, etc. Though I'll admit lately I listen to those bands less than I typically do.
Other than that, I enjoy Metallica, Protest the Hero, Tyr, Amon Amarth, All That Remains, Animals as Leaders, Ensiferum, Cancer Bats, Cynic, Human Error, Scale the Summit, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Black Sabbath, etc, etc.

I see the whole Metal-elitism as completely pointless, and I agree with Thiamor. Metal's such a diverse genre that it can't just be called "Metal". Hence the sub-genres.
As far as the "-core" genres go, I have no problems with them. I like my Metalcore and a Deathcore band here and there. Just like the rest of Metal, there's diversity in there. I personally don't like Asking Alexandria or Avenged Sevenfold, but I do like (most of) All That Remains' work, and they're considered Metalcore.
So, yeah. That's my two cents.

Trap Land!

So what i've done is reworked the whole thing and fixed almost all the complaints i've heard. I fixed the "pinball" issue when you get hurt, you don't get moved back at all now(it's easier to just make the player invincable for a second) and made the levels cleaner and less frustrating to get through. I also added some new features such as enemies, new levels, new graphics and possibly a save spot. This newer demo will hopefully be out sometime in the next few weeks.

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?

Skyrim, which has been amazing so far. No real complaints about it, other than the occasional game freeze.

However, since yesterday, I've been playing Super Mario RPG: The Legend of the Seven Stars. I've never actually played through from start to finish, so I'm borrowing it from a friend. It's great.

My Vote: Entry 8

Trap Land!

Thanks for the feedback.
A'ight, so some of the things that you mentioned have been fixed for the updated version, including the traps pushing you around. Instead, they now pass through the character, and you flash for a moment or two (Rendering you invulnerable).

The music/sound effects at that point (and right now) were just kind of thrown in until we can find/make something better.

Also, just kind of saying, what you call "level 1", Level 2", etc, were not levels. The entire thing was actually an incomplete level. : | Just saying.
As for the one tile wide corridor in second area, I'll admit it's a bit difficult, and takes a few tries to get right. Took me a few times, anyways (We're a two person team, and this was primarily made by the other guy).

So, yeah. Thanks for the input! \o/ Really glad that we finally got some.

Trap Land!

Okay, so.
To everyone who's downloaded and tried this, I thank you very much!

While this page has been pretty much abandoned, I assure you Trap Land is still in production. However, It's pretty much been redone. It's similar to the original, however it's a bit more...Zelda-esque. We'll have a demo for the updated version up sometime soon, but I'm not sure exactly when.

2011 RMN Summer Games

Well, team has been made. Currently some concepts have been done, as well as some graphics. Just need to flesh out the plot some more. Biggest problem so far is the actual gameplay. Don't know what it should be like.
