Generica: The Next Generation

author=kentona
I am anxiously awaiting the makerscore.

Me too. ;)
(I just wanna get to the exclusive 2k club.)

Generica: The Next Generation

Now I understand! I guess if I was the one making this game and I wanted to find a way to connect both games together through the use of save files I would probably do the exact same thing. (Well, actually, I would probably tackle it a lot differently to make sure people still download the original game, such as having access to the old classes for Generica: TNG along with using / combining the new classes or after finishing the game having the option to return to the old dungeons and towns from Generica and just see what’s happened all these years, like what Pokemon Gold & Silver did after defeating the Elite Four.

Either way, I think I’m almost done with the game (just finished climbing the top of the Yaggdrasil tree with the Quickening) and I really like how the plot starts to take an interesting turn about midway through. (I also loved reading all the different musings in the library in Arcola – especially the one from “Babby’s," lol.)

Generica: The Next Generation

Just started playing this bad-boy the other night for almost up to three whole hoursand it’s so far pretty enjoyable! I just finished completing Mt. Peek with my team all at Level 8 with a Wizard, Oakland Raider, Brute and a Cleric (absolutely love the Cleric and his “prayer” ability; it sure makes this playthrough a lot more easier than my last one). I was originally thinking about going with my old team from the original Generica when I first played it a few months ago, but I thought I needed a bit of a change in my life. ^^

(Also, BTW, shouldn’t it make more sense if you could play the original Generica after finishing “this” game as an added bonus instead of just having it available right away? It’s just…doesn’t that make downloading the original Generica completely redundant now? I mean, yeah, it’s a few years old now; and I guess having both games packaged together is great for simplicity – but why have the original game available on startup? I dunno, maybe it’s just me. If I was pulling the reigns, I would probably just make it an unlockable bonus after completing Generica: The Next Generation or after acquiring all the Tiny Medals.)

Anyway, minor ranting aside, this game is still great.

Lol, I also remember first getting the sword and didn’t know you could actually attack enemies with it until complete accident on my part. ^^

This is why we should just ban link in the future.
No.

Second on the no, there, bud; he's useful as HELL against some of these hard bosses in this game. Without him - I'd probably STILL be playing this game.

(Which, judging by my review, wouldn't be such a bad thing. ^^)

but let's all just think about zell in vanille's skirt for a while shall we

Although, on the plus side, I wouldn’t mind seeing some alternate costumes for some of the characters. Maybe not as strange as having Squall dress up in a Lightning costume (why would you even…), but perhaps having Squall dress up wearing his old attire from the original FF8, his SeeD uniform that he wears during the gradation scene, and maybe one of him shirtless (like his alternate costume in Dissidia) would be a nice touch. I dunno – be creative! :D

Super RMN World

Just finished beating this game last night with all 90 stars – and, I must certainly say, I absolutely enjoyed every single second of it! Once I finally booted it up and started playing it – I just couldn’t stop playing; it was like some sort of a disease! Oh man, sooooooooo many good levels…!!!

(Well...except for "Fleetfeet Falls;" THAT level can go straight to hell!)

VorlorN

Really? The slow moving waters wasn’t THAT bad…!
(Okay, yeah, it was a bit slow. But it's not as bad as climbing those awful stairs in that one place. *shutters*)

Super RMN World

(I can’t believe you guys managed to finish this… What it this, now? Suddenly everybody’s getting shit done and I’m looking a fool over here…!)

…Soooooooooo, I’m actually thinking of giving this a try (mostly because I’m being held at gunpoint). I’ve never played any one of the RMN Bros. games – but this one looks darn too good to pass up on! So I’m in.

Just one quick question: Can I use a USB Controller to play this? I don’t mind using a keyboard but I would rather play it using a controller via the classic Super Mario Bros. games.

All in all, this is pretty awesome stuff. You guys deserve a medal for this. ^^

Froglight

...Sooooomething tells me that this game is as good as dead. :(
