Two Years on, and only 6% complete.
6%? Really? Wow… I mean, I know that you’re making your own custom resources for this and that can usually prolong a game’s total completion, but I always thought that you were a lot farther than that. Then again, with game making and real life responsibilities getting in the way sometimes among other things, strange things can and do happen to most indie developers when it comes to making a game, so I kind of understand all the lingo. I mean, I didn’t think remastering my game was going to take more than two years to do it when I initially signed up for it, but strange things started happening, things started piling up and here we are. Well, at least you’re brutally honest about it.

Yeah… Even when I showed my little brother my Ike Amiibo he said the same thing to me: “Isn’t that the guy from Super Smash Bros. Brawl? Fire Emblem? Never heard of it. I thought he was from Final Fantasy, or something.” :/

I wouldn’t mind testing it for you if you want. I mean, I have been following this game for quite some time now and have played and finished the original, so I’m pretty much almost like one of the many, many shareholders for this (that don’t actually give you any real money) so it’s almost like a moral obligation for me to do it. Besides - I loooove testing stuff! It finally gives me a ligament excuse to press all the keys at random times while running around into the walls like a madman to see if any strange stuff happens (and trust me, it will).

Going inside Laine's head
Maybe it wasn’t such a serious issue back then when you were originally asking for feedback for it or maybe it was something that just wasn’t that much of a major focus point while playing it? I’m guessing that either might have been the case… Or maybe people were just too lazy to even play it or comment on it in the first place; it could have been a lot of things…
And yeah, unfortunately, it pays to be popular when it comes to more exposure for anything that you do on these types of sites. That’s not to say that on RMN we haven’t had some developers that don’t really post a lot on here and just mainly focus on their games and commenting and updating on their own game pages and nothing really else besides that, but those people are usually more of a dime and a dozen around here. Unfortunately, if you want to get noticed, you got to put in the extra effort for other people beside yourself and do more than just post your games up and think that it’s immediately going to be an overnight success story. I dunno, sometimes I also think that luck and certain timing plays a significant big part in whether a game is a success or not. You just never know sometimes…
Either way, Enelysion is an awesome game and you shouldn’t let anybody else tell you otherwise. Does it have flaws? Sure it does. Is it perfect? Absolutely not. But you did the best job that you possibly could do at time and at least you completed it and made a lot of people, including myself, very happy, so I say mission accomplished. Besides, it’s always kind of amusing that most of the people who complain about this sort of stuff are mostly the type of people who don’t have anything of their own work to show for themselves and they're just looking to vent out at someone to make themselves look and feel more important than they actually are.

You could always just go for something like “Untitled Game” or “Enelysion ~ Side Story ~” for now until you can manage to think of a proper title for it. No need to hold off uploading a game page for it if you’re pretty much ready to submit one.
Besides, I’m sure you’ll think up a clever title for it. :)

I think this is a pretty neat and clever idea for a side game. It’s really interesting. I’m just wondering that since there’s no currency to purchase any items and you’re learning most of your skills and abilities by defeating enemies if the difficulty for this game is going to be pretty brutal compared to Enelysion. You are going have to items scattered around the dream world and have item drops to collect to make things a bit easier on us, right? Also, does Patrick travel along in the dream world to help Laine out too? Maybe not necessarily for the final battle against Rikard, but maybe for the rest of the way through to providea human meatsheild some backup support to make things a bit more easier, especially if there’s no full heal / lack of items / no item drops.

Yeah, I used to do that as a kid all the time in school when I was bored and I finished all my homework, just writing everything down that comes to me in my little notebook. As I’ve gotten older, though, I just write everything in word processor now and fiddle around in paint shop in regards to images, menu setups and everything else. I plan still, sure, but a lot of time I just jump right in and see how it goes from there. But your way seems to work for you, so that’s good.
