Your hand-drawn style is pretty amazing, and it looks really cool when applied to your icons.
I will have to agree with this though:
May I make a suggestion? Maybe using the mouse knight icons that you have below as an example? Because their emotion portrayal is pretty good.
You don't have to exaggerate the mouth, as would be expected with the animal, but perhaps stretching it out a little bit more and tweaking the eyebrows to look exactly the same.
Keep up the good work!

Your conversion to pixel art was pretty good, although i do have to mention that the variety in expression in the human character is a bit too subtle.

I like the style of your sprite work. It's very versatile.
Are the pieces that you're showcasing works that you've done for other games?

[RMVX ACE] [ARTISTS] [MUSICIAN] Recruiting Musicians/Graphic Artists for Indie Game "TITANIC TRENCH"
author=JosephSeraphauthor=pravact...No. Don't do this. Please, I mean it. I don't want to be rough, but being paid for your work / being able to eat as you work for a project isn't mutually exclusive to having fun or being passionate.
Pay is negotiable, but really we want people who want to do this for free and for fun.
As a matter of fact the most passionate will not avert spending their pennies in order to bring their passinate project to conclusion.
It's a common thing that people request artists that are passionate and work for free. The thing is, most people have zero reason to be passionate with a work that isn't theirs, especially so it they aren't being financially rewarded ie. the time they're working on this project they're not making money to cover the food, rent and electricity they're using to make it.
We're all adults here with needs and bills, and we all have our own projects. Nothing will stop people from liking your project and wanting to work with you but that was, in my opinion, not only somewhat disrespectful but also slightly alienated of the reality of an adult artist. In any case, this seems like a perfectly valid request and you do seem to have interesting skillsets! I look forward to what you create.
Sorry for being a brag but I feel it must be said.
I can't help but agree here. Especially since you've also asked for high quality. Basically, you're asking people with professional talent, at their trade, to help you made your project grand, for charity. That's also robbery.
I will close this out by saying that you should not expect too many takers, as people whose skill levels are good enough to be noticed as 'high quality' will likely be busying themselves with work that gives them something in return.
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, an "Igavania" game from Koji Igarashi, creator of the Castlevania series!
Wow, really? Amazing! To me, this whole series was buried in the grave of Lords of Shadow. I'm glad to see a reanimation, even if it is to be brought back to this world in another form.
The best of luck to Mr. Igarashi and his team!
Thank you for posting this~

[PAID] Musician and Voice Actors (devs, artists & writers welcome)
I'm not a voice actor, but I've done some work here and there for someone with pretty good voice talent.
He's a Youtube musician who uses quirky voices to sing a bunch of.... 'unique' music. He used to have comedy skits up there as well, but I can't find them on his page anymore.
This link (https://www.youtube.com/user/JCBrickstonMusic/featured) leads to his Youtube page. If you like his work, I would go ahead and send him an email concerning your game.

Legend of Otaku - a card based rpg with a unique twist (NEED HELP)

I don't know, a quick glance at your ideas instantly reminded me of: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragon_Ball_Z:_Legendary_Super_Warriors (which was an awesome game, by the way).
Well, in all fairness, the ideas are still at their beginning stages. Just like with any project, they'll have to be changed and cultivated as everything comes to fruition. Some of the ideas may already be a little different, speaking that it has been a year since.
@yugijak I will suggest that your main focus should be getting your idea set in stone so that you can present it a little more clearly. Using crude practice cards, as suggested above, to test the mechanics of your game is the best approach to take.
I also would not let the similarities of too many other card games bother you. It is a good idea to test them out and see what they're about, but if you worry too much about them, you waste valuable time that could be spent on improving your idea.
Just try your best and make it the way you like it.

Funny, I found the first Mega Man to be difficult. I haven't really played it all that much, as it's not my absolute favorite side-scroller, but the last time I played it I think the most I did was made it to the boss. I think I'd chosen the Cut Man board. I wasn't lucky enough to get that far on the other boards, so I stuck with choosing that one mostly.
But, hey, I would definitely suggest banging your head against it again and again. That's the best part about owning an unbeatable game, as long as you don't frustrate the heck out of yourself. When you finally beat it though, it does make you feel pretty awesome.
That's a bit of something that shouldn't be overlooked on the programmers' part. I understand that mistakes happen, but those are majors errors there..... How could they be missed?
I guess there's nothing that can be done about that, but I do hate it when you find a game that's intriguing enough to keep your attention, only to find that there's some problem to prevent you from enjoying yourself anymore.
I've had these problems before, but usually not because of missing strings.
Somehow, my disks, and/or cartridges, malfunction, and sometimes they find a way to break. It seems that my Playstation and NES titles are the ones mostly affected by this.
I have no idea how I haven't heard of this. Wikipedia claims that it's notorious among gamers for being one of the worst games due to poor programming.
That's too bad for them. A Mario Party precursor would've undoubtedly become very popular during that time period.

Ijiis like this on "Reallyjoel's dad" Difficulty - even if you get past the ludicrous onslaught of enemies early on, you can't proceed to the next screen.
There's a computer game adaptation of I Have no Mouth and I Must Scream - the german version cuts one of the scenarios (due to taking place in a concentration camp), making it impossible to reach the ending in it.

Most games in Action 52 are so poorly programmed and partially unfinished that many of them become impossible at one point and others just don't proceed to an ending after a while.

While there are a lot of bullet hells that probably fit the bill, the most notorious I can think of is Dodonpachi Daioujou: Death Label. It's basically a boss rush that you have to complete twice + an extra boss that's two final bosses next to each other. The real kicker is that the second round has to be completed on a single life. If I'm remembering this right, this replay is the first time anyone actually managed to beat the game, SEVEN YEARS AFTER IT'S RELEASE. I think only a small handful of people have managed it since then.
Wow, the projectiles there are a little...... superfluous. I don't play a lot of airplane battle games, but none of the few that I have played look anything like that. It makes me feel like a baby for thinking that Strikers 1945 was hard.

Goofy's Hysterical History Tour for Sega Genesis. It's mainly impossible because it's so bad and clunky. It was the only Genesis game I had growing up that I couldn't beat... and I eventually beat it one day in college, but had to use game genie. The ending was sooo not worth it, but it was the closure I needed at the time.

Hah, I can see where you would've been disappointed. I've never played that game, but that video shows me all that I need to know about it: Frustrating and pointless.
I think I felt the same way when I finally beat Beethoven's 2nd for SNES. And Trog for NES...... I don't know, I kind of wanted to see my dinosaurs chase the trogs away for good.

Yeah the NES Turtles game with that damn underwater level. The game was even sort of fun before that.
I think it's fun afterwards, too. It's just.... getting there. It's extremely difficult to not end up in a watery grave, even harder to win without losing a turtle, and virtually impossible to go to the next board without taking massive damage.
I think that programmers back then didn't want gamers to play a game and treat it like it was some Sunday afternoon walk. Even the cutesy kids' games were not allowed to be easy.
The Impossible Games Thread
You know, I felt that there should be a thread in honor of the games that we all just can't beat. It could be that we, personally, just stink at the games, or the game's developers just forgot, or chose not, to program the game in a way that allowed gamers to win.
There are tons of games out there that fit either, or both, descriptions, be them old or new. So, share all that you'd like to about it here!
These are the ones (that I can think of at the moment) that have made my personal list:
Friday the 13th(NES): This game panics the heck out of me. There's nothing like running around as a dumpy kid who can't even walk, and trying to stop Jason from murdering everyone. Then, when you get into the house, and the kids thank you, I immediately feel as if I've evolved into Super Wimp. Que death; Game is rigged. Time to move on.
Solstice(NES): Maybe it's the clumpy controls, I don't know, but this game seems impossible. Seriously, have any of you gotten far in this game? I think the only artifact that I've claimed have been the Magic Boots(Or, whatever they're called). I can jump higher, yay. Que death; Game is rigged. Time to move on.
Ghost and Goblins(All of them): Save the girl with a terribly slow guy, who doesn't at all speed up when his armor falls off, and he continues his quest in indecency. I think the biggest problem here is the unpredictability of the monsters. I have to say, I deep down have a lot of admiration for the programmers' creativity. Making the enemies do tons of things that manage to surprise each time you play it is amazing, but....... I think they got a little out of control with it. Also, I can't help but feel restricted and helpless in the face of the massive bosses that can leap, run, fly, shoot projectiles, explode, shoot lasers from their eyes, kill you instantly, etc.
Que death; Game is rigged. Time to move on.
Creature Shock(Sega Saturn): Okay, maybe it's just me, but this game doesn't make any sense. Stuff happens and alien things are everywhere. I don't think I need to even repeat the result.

But anyway, everyone knows the true leading man is Balthier.
#bestFFcharacterevar
I can't help but agree here. Balthier and Fran were simply amazing, and really the only two reasons that kept me interested in the game.
I felt that all of the other characters were a bit..... flat, and it makes me hesitant to try newer installments of the series.
Off-topic(!) - Kind of the same syndrome for Blue Dragon, unfortunately. Mistwalker caught a bit of Square Enix disease with that one.
