Whatchu reading?
What am I reading? Pyramid_Head's post~
Haha~
Ahem...... I've been reading 'Bullfinch's Mythology: Age of Fables' and also his 'Age of Chivalry' books.
I'm not as good at reading as I used to be. It seems the only thing I can sit down and read are folk and fairy tales.

The monster list from Myths

(Anyone notice Serpent Women in many myths? Is it supposed to be dangerously sexy)? LoL
Nope, it's actually a scientific find discovered by Socrates: Women are cold-hearted, clammy, venomous, man-eating snakes.
His knowledge was spread all over the world back then, by Greecian travelers and foreign visitors/traders, which lead to cultures incorporating snake women into their myths...... Or rather, historic facts.
You can find it on any scientific site. Just type 'evil' in the search bar.
P.S. Fun(?) Fact: Most of murders, that have happened in the last couple of centuries are committed by snake women. See what happens when you let your guard down?
Remember men: Be very careful around your wife or girlfriend. You could be next!

Definitely some talent here but it could use some work, overall.
No, I know I need work, but hey, that goes without saying! Everyone grows everyday, and the more we do, the more we improve.
And notice more problems we have to fix, but that's the joy of it~

You fit a certain trippy/surreal niche that I think someone might pay for, but not sure if it's exactly worthy of selling just yet, unless your prices are low.
Now, I will have to object to this.
Back then, I used to look at my work and think this, but after wondering about it for some time..... When is anyone really ever actually 'worthy'? I've seen a lot of different kinds of art presented in today's media, be it mainstream or indie, some I like and others aren't crazy about (and vice versa), and it makes you realize that worth really is an opinionated matter.
Judging ourselves as 'unworthy' is comparing ourselves to someone else's ability, which is something I would advise not getting in the habit of.
They can work like them and you can only work like yourself, and because of this, I intend to price my work the way at a normal rate. After all, if someone comes to me, it's because they see what I do as worthy for what they want. The same would be so if someone came to you for work.

Don't get me wrong, you're waaaay better than I am so take my words with a grain of salt, because I'm no artist. I'm strictly speaking from a developer that is interested in purchasing custom assets. So like I said, you have a niche and that might be something you want to stick to and improve upon.
edit: To repeat myself here, those stylized works are excellent and would like to see more of those! :D
My main drive is to just keep improving on the artistic world the way I see it, so if my style experiences change, it will only be from personal growth.
My sub-mission is to remove those sloppy stroke lines. Maybe it's because I draw in a small space with large files, I don't know, but I swear I never see those things when I'm actually working on my pieces. It's really frustrating, but I'm going to work those out.
I really appreciate the time you've taken to give me creative criticism. Whether you're an artist or not, it's really helpful seeing different ways that my work can be viewed. Thank you~
P.S. Fortunately, I actually wound up liking stylized art, and I intend to make some more. It gives me an excuse to use those sloppy strokes!

Hello everyone~
I'm going ahead to make another update with some of my newer and yet-to-be-presented works:
Below are some site logos that I've made, in a recent commission, for an up-and-coming game developing company called Star Trail Games
If you're interested, please stop by and check it out!
I hope you enjoy what I have to show here.

Dark Souls III -> Bitten by the hype?
I've actually just started playing Dark Souls. I have the 2nd on 360 and the first on Steam.
I'm thinking about buying the 3rd one when the price drops. The first two should keep me pretty busy until then.

Anticipated (or not) movies of 2016
author=pianotm
This one looks neat, I have to admit.
The only thing that bothers me is that this looks very little like the Pete's Dragon I knew. In more ways than one.
I get that taking old, easy-going cartoons and movies, and sending them to the darkifier has been a big thing, but really.......
Again, this is coming from someone who isn't really a movie watcher, but I still have my nostalgic feelings from the Disney cartoons I grew up with. I can't wait to see what they do to movies like 'Fox and the Hound' or 'Aristocats'. Or 'Dumbo'.
Or any of them, really.
You know they're going to remake them all.

Wow, this is a really extensive list. I've done some casual research here and there, but I don't think I would've even thought to look up half of the names posted here.
Nice work, and thank you very much~
I'm copying this down in notepad though; I don't think I can rely on my memory to keep all of these names locked away!

So, they dropped the first Ghostbusters trailer.
Well, I mean, there isn't any harm in at least trying it, is there? You can rent it and check it out at least once. There have been some movies out there that have had some terrible trailers, but have been pretty good when you watch the whole thing.
Previews can make a really good, or really bad, first impression; Sometimes irrelevant, and sometimes not. It's really just a 50/50 split that's all up to you in the end, you know?

Super Smash Bros for WiiU
Fire Emblem has been used a bit much in Super Smash Bros., but since those characters have become very popular over here (with RPG players and Bishie lovers), it only makes sense. I would prefer a couple more Pokemon myself.
And a couple of more characters from Nintendo's other series. Again, that would be a terribly long list, so I won't go into that.
Wow, I like this preference list! As a Toad fan, I've always preferred that Toad would have more of a use than a bullet reflector.
And a Belmont would be great. I would've preferred that Konami would've used one of them instead of Solid Snake. While I would prefer Richter or Trevor, Simon would probably be the best ambassador choice. Him or Alucard(Though he would be another sword guy).
Bomberman would be simply amazing. I feel in love with that game, and I like the character, so yes! Besides, he would have a unique move set with all of the bomb techniques. You could play him tactically, like Robin.
Master Higgins and Captain N really are obscure here, but I completely agree. They both deserve a little more love from fans! As long as Master Higgins was given a shovel and his island gear, instead of sword and armor.
P.S. Birdo would be cool, but I'd still vote for Lord Fawful over her. Besides, they might make her a Yoshi clone, what with all of the similarities they share in the sporting games.

I would have preferred characters like Toad, Simon Belmont, Bomberman, Master Higgins, Captain N, or hell even Birdo. E: or Erdrick/Loto and Rocket Slime from Dragon Quest.
E2: or a Splatoon squidgirl. That would have been cool and unique!

[Poll] What RPGs should get represented in a future Smash Bros.
author=RedMask
Here's a random idea, what if there was a crossover RPG game starring characters from multiple RPGs. So like a Smash Bros RPG. It probably wouldn't be the most exciting story-wise but it could be a fun time gameplay and nostalgia-wise.
It could be exciting story-wise, if the game creators put together a cool story relating to the hows and whys, instead of just hoping that people will play the game because, 'Oh, lookie! It's that guy! And he's hanging out with that other guy!'.
Again, people usually do try it out, because who doesn't get excited when they see their favorite games/series paired together? I've been a sucker for certain crossovers myself, but they can very much be a letdown for me, because I go in hoping for a cool story and, well, a bit more natural harmony.
Ah well, such are the dilemmas of the fans.
