AGNITIO'S PROFILE

Addicted player, played most of the rpg's out there for the Snes, Genesis and PC platforms...Meaning I usually have a hard time finding a good game...

No patience for making games, but paradoxicaly have tons of ideas...If anyone interested in a script reviewer and advisor message me...I'm also a literatures, cultures and history student, so I have a bit more of background than just games and tons of movies and books...

Also my english is not bad, but it's not good either, sorry for all the mispelling here and in posts, but I can hardly picture myself going over what I wrote just for detecting grammar errors...better off spending time playing or viewing some movie...

Cheers...

A Home Far Away

I wasn't expecting much from this game for having 3 stars, but at the start i really surprised me, the stryline seemed pretty good and it's one of the few game where the protagonist is a mage and not an overpowered swordsman...the chicken quest is epic, not because of the quest overall but for that partiular one that pops out of a chest rofl, you made up the idea or got it from another game?

anyway for the start I would give the game 4.5 stars, but sadly it rapidly changes, when you get in control of the protagonists sisters you see that she exactly the same abilities wth...an issue here is the staff she has equiped, while a normal wooden staff gives a major stat boost for everything, the staff you have that was made specially by their father has only attack and very low, is this some kind of error? I would imagine that mementos were special items not the other way around...

Then you get the river quest, at this stage I started having problems in the scenario exits, I assume I wasn't the only one, and while in a normal situation this wouldn't be much of an issue it really is when you're trying to escape the bandits stones, which are overkill if they hit you at the end because the cursor is so fast...

After this you play the sister again, and only at this point I noticed that while in the water I could move 8ways but in land I can only move 4ways...why not change movement on land aswel? assuming I will probably spend 95% of the game on land it would make much more sense...

After this I go into a cave and there's a swordsman waiting and says he would appreciate help in going through the cave, this realy messes the storyline (it would make sense if it was some kind of villager to whom you had to ask for help, like her boyfriend or something)....after that you go into fights and notice something, the swordsman doesn't have a unique ability like the other characters, his fight button has the symbol of a staff aswel, and he also has a mage spellbook, most sad is that the guy is a total wuss, I had to change his row so he didn't die every battle, this makes the game really special (in a bad way) for it's the first time I have a melle class in the back row and spellcaster in the front row, also the mage does the same amount of melee damage which doesn't seem even close to being fair (maybe you like mages over melee like me actually but that's not a reason to make them so underpowered and lame)...at this part the charge ability stoped working for some reason, meaning there are still plenty bugs in the game...I almost quit the game at this point, but I hope it might change back to being good...

I think this game has a lot of potencial, and it seems you put a lot of effort into making it, but there are some things that should be improved, if you changed the characters ability system to make it unique for every character, improved a bit the story line, and fixed the bugs this game would definitly be worth 4 or 4.5 stars...

T Review

I really liked this game, it's more of a novel than a game though, which sort of places it on it's own category, and yes the battle senes were laughable (not sure if this makes the game better or worse though)...

The thing I liked the least was the fact I couldn't finish it...Will it be possible to resume our saves in the next version? I think this is an issue with a lot of games and players, hardly anyone will ever play a game from scratch just because of a new version with added content...

To the author:
Another improvement you can add, and that is if you intend to put a lot of work into this, is to make alternative twists in the storyline, dependant of the hero's choices (example: end up with either one of the girls) (hero dying before the end of the story)

Possibly remove those quests and entry to houses when they are in the city, it makes the game less comparable to a novel, and we should have a closer and more real experience of a guy alone in a big city and possible problems, not a dejavu of other rpgs.

partyselect.png

That backgoriund looks god, black would make it lifeless, only issue there (my oppinion) are the portraits, there should be some spae between them and the borders...

remove and back buttons...please don't make those, it's much easier (only for the players) to be able to do everything just using two buttons to control all that, some sort of subtitle should be implemented if it's not very clear.

Also, you should try to put the character's names in the pictures, those title look very nice, but shouldn't be used alone.

The space below the goblin guy or inventive prodigy (sounds realy good, looking forward for the stuff he can do), might be used for some sort of secret character, possibly? Maybe a tribute to a character of one of the games you used...

Forever's End Review

Well, it seems the dificulty is set to be appropriate to the work the player does, like most final fantasies, which makes your work doing side quests pay off at the end...

If you didn't like the first boss you should try the first hidden enemy, a huge dragon with 4k hp and you only have the protagonist and Elise (think that's her name), ant the guy can 1 hit ko you, so you have to use a lot of revives, and that is when you did most of the side quests, like capturing every monster, looked for hidden loot like the titan shield in the first scenario (I still wonder how much hiden stuff I didn't find)....off course if you use scan you can check the enemies weakness, which can turn a very hard battle into cake (remembers final fantasy and megaman games <3)

Note: please decrease the brightness on the font in this page (change it to dark grey or black), it makes it hard to read and it's possibly a reason for some people to stray far from this page...

Game looks really neat, and I agree with everything Ginseng said less the map, it's nice where it is, and it's really useful.

The characters definitely need a remake, mainly the guy, the girl is actually nice the way it is, and you should create modernistic classes like soldier, gunner and others, definetely not paladin o.0

another thing, it would be nice to have some kind of background on why is the guy there shooting turrets, and create more stuff besides turrets, like cyborgs and robots...and a turret for a boss seem's a bit to pushed.

I really love the menu, maybe you can create some custom options for the game, like weapon building and upgrading.

Mobs should have a different respawn system, for example every time you change zones.

Maybe put some easy puzzles in there, like finding keycards on specific enemies and having to use a particular type of damage to defeat foes more easily.

Also like the music, it really fits the game...

I saw you have the Q key to change characters, I personally think that having various characters in one and switch between them in combat is really weird, but a lot of people do it...It would be much nicer to have AI controlled characters, and not being able to take control over them at all, but this might be a bit complex to do.

You get exp and points for defeating enemies, you might want to change points into something else, not sure on this but maybe metal or chips, and enemies should have drops like ammo and possibly random junk that you could use to make equipment and weapons or upgrades...

I think that's all, at least for now...

I really like the concept of this game, good work :)

Forever's End

Will I be able to contiue my game from where I left it in the next demo?

How long do you think will take to finish the game?

Do you intend to use that cutscene or something similar in the game? if so please don't make elise do that fire attack, reminds too much of that uchiha weird fire breath technique, and marcelus does look a lot like orochimaru Lolz

I made a review for the game because it's way underrated but it's still pending.

Anyway I'm voting for your game in every category for the misao awards least the non-rpg class.

cheers and good work with this, I really want to see how far you can go into making this game even more awesome :)

Leo & Leah: A Love Story

This game seems really promising, how long you expect till you have a complete version?

One Night: Full Circle

Another little issue, for determining the endings...what do you consider morality? fr example the first choice you have you have to pick between:
I'm really sorry for your loss
At least you are still alive, that's what counts

Is there a lack or moral in any of these? one simply sees thing on the bad side and the other on the bright side, I could elaborate on this but I think it's evident...I don't dislike the ida of having different endings, but at least the triggers for those should be more credible...

One question, do you create ideas and make games from those, or you get someone's opinion on the ideas?

One Night: Full Circle

hi,

First point I want to make that guy DE is an idiot...without the limited vision this game would not even be terror...

Anyway when I started playing I almost quit because my character couldn't go to the path to town because there was a car in the way? wtf...please imagine yourself in the game, would that be an issue?

Next one an old tree in the way? and you can't pass...what is this? pokemon? and then you have to destroy the tree with a bat....rofl...

Anyway after the not so epic start the game gets interesting...till I get to the puzzle, I actually solved it more or less but!!! the letter given are opuv nzm gtnv which correspond to lkfe man tgme...instead of life man time....this might have caused some issues with players :s

Aside from that I agree with other players, these graphics are not proper for an horror game, still the game is playable, and I think you are doing a good work and only need to improve a bit...I'm a fan of legionwood, and I hope you make the second one as good as the first, the current demo leaves something to be desired...

Cheers
