Saga Mara Talon

>> I enjoy challenging games. It's probably the same reason I played godhand, or devil may cry 4 on Hell or hell mode. I clearly haven't suffered enough game overs in my lifetime. >>.

As much as great stories are wondeful- sometimes, I just want to clash with something so utterly overwhelming that it makes me want to rage quit. >> ..And then win anyways. This game, for all it's unbalances- at least satisfies that xD.

P.S. How do Edifice and Obelisks difficulty compare to these games? (I've been meaning to give them both a try, since the systems of your games tend to be extremely varied- so it becomes interesting to try and adapt to them). ..I just have a bad habit of dying horribly in roguelikes- so I'm wary. (I was butchered like a whee lil piggy in Blue Contestant, for instance... because I kept insisting on trying to kill everything. >>)

Visions & Voices: Revision

>> If this was going to use the save file from the first one, I am going to weep bitter tears- if not, well. I enjoyed the first one -alot- and I'm looking forward to this coming out, at some point.

>> Especially because I was curious about a number of elements that cropped up in the game.

Given the replay system hinted at... >> Well, it'd likely give me a heap to do- though there are a few things in particular I'm curious about. Specifically, about something related to the 'Solo' runs in the first game. More or less, whether or not you still have to undertake a solo run to find...
Clancy? Is he still going to be in the game? Is it still solo run a riffic- or can he be obtained despite this? I never got him in the first game- but >> Given you're hinting at fleshing out the story alot more, I'd definitely be more liable to try and snag him as a character- just to find out stuff about him.

Saga Mara Talon

>.> I gotta say, whilst I enjoyed the game- At about the point I reached the 'Island of Optional Fights (Bonus Boss Now Included)... Well- things had degenerated to me either killing the boss in 1-2 rounds, or me dying under a barrage of either 5-7 (I think the most that ever happened was like 8 or 9 attacks..and that was just...blargh) consecutive actions wiping out my party.

I will confess, this is probably my fault for choosing the hardest difficulty. But, yeah- it was just a touch demoralizing. At least, until I discovered that Zombification cures everything, Courtesy of a ..uh..sparklepire, on optional island. (Well, no. It cures death. In the sense that you can't die as a zombie, short of petrification..and possibly doom? I never did sit there and ride out doom as a zombie to discern if it would kill me.) It was about that point where I started getting revenge on all the bosses that party wiped me in their first turn.

Still, it was a fun ride for the most part- beyond the hour spent trying to kill Alexander. Failing. Level grinding 15 levels and coming back to try and kill him...and then discovering that once he hits 0 hit points, he's still quite alive, well, and petrifying the party. >>

>> I do feel a little guilty about how I sneaked out a win, but..well. >> That's how it goes.

P.s. Sorceress Spam of Absorb ftw. 10 k Absorb crits are delicious <<

Fragile Hearts

Glad I could help, sir =3

Tweaking Haddys later spells so they are bit more nuke-arriffic will no doubt be appreciated.

And, getting Those spells you're missing. I -scoured- each area, and I never did find a Lit 2, 3, all thing, As I recall. ( Distinctly recall having gaps in spells :<. Lowell. >>)

Anyways, good luck in all the version adjustments. I'm going to go back to lurking now.

Lucidity: False

>> Yeah. I took the other path after I waltzed through the empty area and was like "Hey. Something seems off here."

Anyways, Glad I could help =) *thumbs up-a*

>> P.s. This game was suuuuuper fun. I especially enjoyed the character interactions as it continued onwards.

P.P.s. >> And the battle music sucker punched me with how awesome it was. I can't believe I forgot to remark on that.

Lucidity: False

>> You can bypass the Lost path...
When Rabbit tells you he thinks you should go 'This way' (The path to the left.. 'Lost path').. >> you can go up instead, and get to the end of that stage by walking through the town. Not sure if that was intentional or not?

Boss Strategies

>> ironically. The Pillar of stability didn't work for me. @_@ I equipped the party with them (after grinding up the money to do so) after the boss killed me twice. >> And then..well. She stunned the crap out of me anyways, so I promptly switched them back out for the things I was using.

>> I think it was at the fourth try or so that I had finally figured out all the nuances (like Aya ressurecting her siblings and making my life hell), by which point I finally stopped dying miserably. Well. Stopped dying -as- miserably. >> I still went through like 35+ ressurect items and alot of heal pots.

Dhux's Scar

I will confess- this game killed me -alot- at the beginning. >> And in the final dungeon. Until I realized there was a save point to my left, and a merchant to my right. Then I facepalmed- because prior to this discovery, I had fought my way through the entire area after a portion of exposition, a boss fight, more exposition- and about 30-40 minutes of me mulching enemies. (1 turning (Round, I suppose) them, to be precise.)

Still- the difficulty is part of what made it so bloody satisfying to get through to the end, and I was enamored with the twists of the story (Especially -The Twist-). Whilst I'm normally able to guess what's coming in a game, or movie- I was caught off guard for most of the game, which made it altogether fantastic.
