My game is one of the top sold games with RPG Maker tag on Steam.
What I have a problem with is not bragging; it's dishonesty. But I could let it go if he wasn't trying to form a publishing company.

It's on the middle of the third page. Of five pages. I'm not sure how you could reasonably call that one of the "top" games.
"RPGMaker" is the main tag used, not "RPG Maker". When searching for that, you're on page 5 of 12, which doesn't sound half bad, until you look at what's beneath it. For reference, using that tag, Ara Fell is the 31st top selling game. Strangers of the Power is 111th and Save Your Mother is 119th.
What is your goal here, Toumo?

Running or swimming?
Honestly, diet is way more important than exercise for weight management. Exercise is important for overall health, but the more you exercise, the hungrier you'll be.
Cut out carbs and count calories to lose weight. Exercise to get in shape.

Is adding a mystery worth it?
You shouldn't avoid adding something like that just because it might be true that no one will solve it. I don't see any sense in that.
If it's important to the gameplay and it's like a... puzzle or a riddle that's too difficult to solve, that's a different question. Or if it's a major part of the story and the player really needs to understand it in order to appreciate the story, and you're just being too coy or vague about it, that's another.
But just for bonus stuff? Add in whatever seems good to you. You can always slightly increase how obvious or subtle it is during beta testing.

Good freakin dialog tutorial: https://twitter.com/JesnCin/status/814839109210566656
One thing you have to keep in mind when doing dialogue for games is that you generally don't have narration or prose providing subtext for whatever's going on. You're relying heavily (even exclusively) on the dialogue for that.
Using expressive face sets act as subtext, or... say, making a sprite jump up and down before saying something angry. But neither of those are as good as prose, so dialogue in games, particularly RPGs, just does a lot more lifting than it does in other mediums.

D'you ever look back at your old projects. And your eyes instinctively want to fly out of your sockets and roll away from sheer embarrassment?
@Pyramid_Head
Well, I do appreciate you saying that. Ara Fell came after about... Geez, 5 years of trying and failing to make a decent game. Like, really hunkering down and practicing and actively trying to get better. And the first version was still so much worse than it should have been.

my fucking clothes got stolen
My art isn't the best, but I think I'm doing alright. *Reads tutorials on how to art better* Oh my god all my drawings are garbage.
You will never be satisfied with what you have or what you can do, and you never should be. Every single person that's better than you was where you are right now, and every one of them looked at the people they wanted to be and said to themselves, "I can never do that."
Some people said that and were right. Some people said that and were wrong, but gave up anyway. And some people said that, but kept pressing on.
Being that third kind of person is a choice you make. And that really is all there is to it.
