About the font, why not use the same font that you used for the logo? I like that font much better.

This is space wisely used. I don't think it's empty at all. Besides, you want to give the player a little moving around room instead of him/her being confined to one or two tiles.

Mixing modern tiles and the RTP doesn't look good at all. And, it sort of ruins the atmosphere of the game. Walking around and seeing this medieval-like world then BAM, toilet and bathing tub.
