BEN_RANDOM'S PROFILE
Ben_Random
1019
I'm Ben_Random. I've been around since 2008 but I didn't really get active here since Super RMN Bros. 2. That, an unfinished game, and a couple of contests sums up what I've done with game making on this site. I find that my main purpose here is writing. I have a few tutorials out there, as well as some reviews on Mario fan games such as RMN Bros. or Mario V.S. the Moon Base.
Now with the internet the way it is these days, you can probably use just this information to stalk me.

What can you do with squares? (VX RTP Mapping Contest)

I never did get that PM about the winners Ben! anywho, I doled out the achievements.
I figured, for a mapping contest, participants get 25 and the winner gets an extra 50.
Good idea. Would it also be okay to have achievements for the town and dungeon editions in this contest, or is that not going to happen?
Event Touch problem in VX
author=Crystalgate
Event Touch doesn't seem to trigger in VX when the Through flag is checked. This prevents flying encounters from working correctly. How can I get them to trigger?
Ideally I want it to work like in XP, which basically means they do trigger when they hit the player.
I am also having problems with the event touch command in vx. It is a very finicky command. The same goes to player touch.

Very bland, don't you have a better screen shot to show? :/
At least it's better than his town.

What can you do with squares? (Dungeon Edition)
author=Marrend
I like how I understood the rules before they were officially implemented. Though I did like ShortStar's idea of putting all three screens of the dungeon in one map. Though that would be, at minimum, a 150 by 50 map (or a 50 by 150 map).
Anyway, the biggest map I've made is the forest map in Matsumori Days. How big was that again? 51 by 51? Hrm...
The reason I wanted three separate maps was because the submissions will not be in screenshot form, but in an rpgvx game form instead. This would make the size of each "floor" more clear.
