Perhaps it might suit your needs but you can also try Triacontane's Additional Description plug-in which allows you to have secondary in-game description that can be switched with a press of a button for items and skills which.

Looks cool. I'll try it out if I need it.

I wonder if there's a way to make the affinities transparent or darker if they have weaknesses so they are harder to see?
I wouldn't know how to do that specifically, but Enelvon's script does let you hide affinities until you hit them in battle if you set these values to "true" instead of "false".
