How long will it take if...

Probably awhile. It just depends. Just wait a bit and it will probably get resubmitted in no time.

What are you thinking about right now?

Today, I got to feel like what Calunio felt like when Marvel Brothel got taken down…

Today is Craze's birthday!

Happy belated birthday, you crazy asshole. :D

We should all celebrate by playing some Demon Tower ’till four in the morning and watch Tardis get drunk on the sofa. ^^

I collect dreams.

The last dream I had was about an actual decent 3D upgrade to Zelda 2: The Adventures Of Link, where you could hold the controller to control the beam from Link's weapon and use a stick item that could turn into a long extended pole that could cross gaps (not to mention the return of the Ice Rod & Pegasus Boots! :D)

I wrote most of this all down in my "Game List," like I do with the rest of my dream ideas. I got a ton of them, so I won’t be running out ideas for awhile. ^^

I just woke up and had the weirdest dream in my entire life.

"Guys! Porcupine Princess is done!"
"OMG! Really?"

that's the entire dream. All of us going, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Except, I'll be going HOLYFUCKNUTSWTF!?SHEGOTTHATSHITDONE!? GSSGHLSHSG&*S^SPGHH!!!

Whatchu Workin' On? Tell us!

...Unless that cookie has a ton of chocolate chips plastered all over it, then I'm game (which probably means I'll fail). :D

Whatchu Workin' On? Tell us!

I wouldn't worry too much about your mapping abilities, Jakester; they're fine. I kinda like it. The town's navigation is very small and there is a lot of room so you don't get lost in all of the stuff that's going on, that to me is alright.

Remember, finishing the game is the main objective, here! Everything else is just second fiddle as long as you finish da game. ^^

Working on some more bullshit menus. <_<

The Featured Game Thread

Another game I wouldn't mind getting some love, since it's been around FOREVER and I remember -- exactly -- having a great time playing it back in the hayday, is Udivision's: Super Mario RPG: The Seven Sages. Sure, it's a Mario RPG fangame, but this one was done pretty swell.

Best part is this: it's complete; that alone is enough to get featured in my mind. :D

Pengui! can get featured another time.

Puipui to the Rescue

Sweet! Combining the physics of miniature golf with -- hedgehogs!? Why hasn't SEGA ripped this off, yet?

This looks pretty rad, Hima! In fact, all of your games are awesome. I'll give this a shot sometime tonight. ^^

how about all of final fantasy is dead

because it is

Agreed. It just...hasn't felt the same since the games back on the ol' Playstation days... Although, to be fair, FFX wasn't too bad of a game; and I did enjoy Final Fantasy IV: The After Years, so maybe the series isn't totally off its rocker... I guess it depends on the person.

I'm still waiting for the day when Square-Enix finally decides to either remake FF6 or try making an original SNES-inspried graphical RPG for any platform, like the olden days. I would buy that in a heartbeat.

Clearly, I should change my avatar to a picture of Griever.

=/

Meh. I liked your old avatar better before.

What to do?

Well, since this is your first shot at making anything, you should probably try out all the various engines through trail and demo processes (like RPG Maker VX Ace, VX, XP, 2k3, etc.) and play around with them for awhile until you get the hang of things while planning out further in detail about what type of game you want to make, story, characters, plot, etc. -- whatever. Once you're ready to go, then go for it and have a lot of fun! :D

One thing I will stress to you is this: Don't shoot for something too high! Start out by making something easy, like a 3 - 6 hour RPG, or a smaller game like a puzzle game, etc., before going for the big time. I stress this because a lot of newbies try to make something realllllllllly big before hitting the wall flat. Take your time! It takes a long time (and a lot of failed attempts) before successfully completing a game, but it can be done! :D

Good luck, mate. ^^
