What is your opinion on "Filler"

The Pyramid Level in the Aladdin video game for the SNES... that was definite filler.

I don't like Chrono Trigger someone help me...

Chrono Trigger is a great light-hearted fun game. It shouldn't be over-thought, it should be about "woo! I'm traveling through time to save the world!" I also agree with the people who think customization is overrated. Although I never realized it was a selling point. I actually dislike it. I like my characters to be distinct and preset.

I do find the future to be the most boring time, especially the factory though. It's still fun, but compared to 600 and 12,000, it really pales to me.

News Flash with Kermit the Frog [7 Reasons the 21st Century is Making You Miserable]

The trend is that whoever is the ruling class or majority of the situation always gets a lot more flack. Christianity can get dragged through the mud in most western countries. Being racist towards white people, etc.

The trend doesn't follow in Japan. Non-individualistic? Although Japanese CEOs and bosses have been taking pay cuts out the wazoo and not giving themselves bonuses like the fucking WASPS.

I think we should just blame America. Make it about nation, not race.

VC Japan April/May

Majora's Mask in April, and Final Fantasy in May!

Landgrisser or whatever it's called is also coming out in April.

I will be a busy boy. There's also promise of more Final Fantasies coming to VC!

They're eating each other, yes.

Have you ever cried for someone?

Is crying not cool? I cry when I get really sad... which is usually only after hearing someone else's bad news. Or in movies I guess. The end of Big Fish I wept like a madman.

I guess crying is exposing vulnerableness and dicks could potentially jump on that, but usually just one "yeah I cry, what's your point?" gets the dicks stumbling after loosing that ground they had.

Video Game Purchases

I bought 7th Dragon. I don't know why this bugs me, but walking is tile based or whatever, so if you hit any directional button, you walk one full tile over. I always liked feeling there wasn't any walking from tile to tile.

Does that make sense? Maybe not.

Star Ocean

I had no idea that stereotype was out there, I thought I was saying a fairly unorthodox thing. Also, the focus of my statement was on story-driven games with shitty gameplay.

Star Ocean

Some RPGs are story driven. They sometimes have really shitty gameplay. The games that are gameplay driven sometimes have really shitty stories. I'd argue Final Fantasy VII created the idea that all RPGs should be story driven.

Star Ocean 2 was great because it didn't follow the trend that Final Fantasy VII solidified. The graphics were used as a tool to further the gameplay, and weren't an end in themselves. The battle system was unique and innovative, and not a clone of FFVII with slight adjustments (adding a new gauge or renaming MP something else). The skills and item creation system in it was beyond amazing. The non-linearity was great. There was just so many different things you could do in it. I stand by it being one of the best for the PSX. I can only think of games that were on par to it, but none that are better.

Star Ocean 3 I didn't get too far in. I tried to like it. I tried really hard. It just wasn't that good. I enver played Star Ocean. It (and Seiken Densetsu 3) are the two most expensive used games for the Super Famicom in Japan. Final Fantasy Vi would be about $5US, and they would be about $25US.

Video Game Purchases

I'm thinking about buying 7th Dragon today. It looks really good.
