Spring's a comin'-What's your plans?
Worldwide economic situation worsening, unemployment rising, desperate measures.
The Nikkei 225 has been really strong the last 3 days. I wonder if it'll hold. Also the yen is gradually getting weaker again. It seems a little early for things to normalize... I wonder if it'll stick.
Working Designs
This was my favourite company since they released Lunar: SSSC until they went under. I was a big fan of their localizing philosophy (in terms of westernizing things, and going all out). Lunar and Lunar 2 are two of the best RPGs released on the RPG. Growlanswer Generations was an amazing deal of two great strategy RPGs (infact, I got to the end of Growlanser III and never finished it.. I really should).
Alundra was bloody amazing. Arc the Lad Collection was a gem.
Discuss your experiences.. I'll write more later.

Yes, embrace negative attributes.
I draw maps and then play out a history on them with major cities, wars, governemnts, evolving morality and whatnot. I haven't in a while, but if I had the chance, I would again.
A lot of interesting/strange/shameful things have happened while incredibly drunk: shivering on the street all night, passed out on a Tokyo rush hour train, losing pants or losing shoes on streets, getting too close with hostesses in shady bars, etc. I think it's all behind me now.

The people who are saying this depression is no big deal I'm guessing aren't really that affected by it. I'm really curious how people are affected by it. I can get economic speculation on the front page of most newspapers/websites from economists, but I can't see how it is affected your everyday RPG maker user.

I'm no economic expert, but I've read quite a few editorials on the matter. The one that made the most sense to me says that America started it, it'll take 5-10 years to get out of, and other countries will be affected more than America will (specifically east Asia). It also ruled out World War III due to China and America's dependence on each other. While I've read the articles, and studied economics from left and right points of view, I don't have my head truly wrapped around all the knowledge and concepts enough to say anything.
Anyways, I get a raise next month, and prices are going down. The Yen will soon drop, so I'm considering what currency to exchange money into. It also affects me in that I'm not sure if I should stay at my decent, but not great job, or put a whole lot of money into getting a Masters next year.
I also never replied to Holbert once last debate and still feel bad, so I'll watch.
