Chrono Trigger DS

I've almost finished the game the first time around, only have to finish the Black Omen and the Lost Sanctum, but I really don't want to do the Lost Sanctum. It's amazing how much I enjoy going through the game still though. Can't wait to whiz through it on new game plus finding all the endings and such.

Piracy, Why?

I said you must be young because you seemed to not know what democracy or capitalism meant, and you said that Britain wasn't capitalist- which it is.

Piracy, Why?

Reasons for pirating seem silly. It's sort of like people first pirate, and then think of ways to justify it so they're not doing shitty stuff.

I pirate because for selfish reasons and that I'm alienated from the people it affects. It's also easy and anonymous. I do it for obscure things that are impossible to find, and also sometimes things that are really easy to find. Yes, this makes me look bad, but it's the truth, and in this sense, I am in the wrong. I also can think of lots of reasons to justify my pirating, but ultimately they come after my decision to pirate, and not before.

The dude from England who posted about politics/the economy must be really young.

They could translate it better than the word fiend though. I don't know, for some reason fiendlord sounds really strange to me. Darklord. Demonlord. Netherlord.

I'm being picky I guess. I think it's because I always read it as feignlord for some reason.

Which Final Fantasy villains reign would be the worst to live under?

Kefka destroyed the world. He didn't talk about it, or destroy towns, but he destroyed the entire world.

After that he destroyed survivors on a whim (or for a reason) whenever.

He would be by far the most horrible.

Magus's title is "fiendlord". I think the word fiend sounds strange, but I forget what they called him in the SNES version. Anyone remember? Was it fiend?

My Japanese isn't fluent by the way, I got a long way before I can make that claim.

Storytelling/retelling

I'd flat out disagree. There's many stories that don't follow old archetypes. In fact, I find it harder to think of stories that do follow archetypes. All of my favourite authors (Orwell, Pirsig, Camus, Kerouac) have quite original books.

Storytelling in RPGs can by nature have to be quite simplistic (despite pretentious games), so I can archetypes would pop up a lot more in this medium than in novels or whatnot.

Cosplaying

When I was at the Tokyo Game Show last year, the cosplay shit was intense. It was so hard not to stare, especially at some of the ladies' costumes.

I could never do it myself. Some of those dudes really pull it off, I couldn't. I pull off slacks and t-shirts and pull it off quite well.

Chrono Trigger DS

It was a part of Final Fantasy Chronicles of something like that.

Final Fantasy IV and Chrono Trigger together.

I just got that the title has "Chron" is it. Wow.
