Man, I can never borrow books from the library. Even if it's terrible. It's like I'm a book-kleptomaniac.
Anyway, The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murakami. About 180 pages in, and it's getting pretty good. Er, well, it was good before and all, but now it's getting even better. :D
I'm reading the same and about 150 pages in, it's great.
I'm on a Murakami binge, I read Hard-boiled Wonderland and Norwegian Wood last week. Both also great.

Dragon Quest X for Wii
I don't think DQ games were that popular. I mean, if you weren't really playing games when the first four came out (which is quite a few people I'm sure), then you only really had a chance with VII (which wasn't popular and had dated graphics) and then the semi-popular VIII.
I can see how it happens. I do think it's too bad though, because it is arguably better than the Final Fantasy series and lets people see Japanese RPGs in a completely different light.

Suikoden on sale for $5.99
Although Wild ARMS is the better game, the battle scenes in Suikoden's battles did age better.
I beat the first one and it was decent. The second seemed like the exact same game and I stopped half way through. I didn't get far in the third one, and never played the fourth or fifth.

Chrono Trigger DS
Whenever I'm playing CTDS I get the motivation to play Chrono Cross, but then remember the amazingly boring wait times in battles, and don't want to.
I've never beaten it. I don't think I was stuck on a boss, I just didn't have any idea what to do next. I thought I was really close to the end as well.

I skipped the Lost Sanctum and did the Dimensional Vortex and I'm not doing too bad.
The intense dislike is unfounded. Disappointment I can understand.
