It would probably work better. LockeZ said that trees could be of any size and that was truth. However these 2x2 RTP models look ridiculously small. Also, I'm not big fan of RTP grass. It's too light.
Engines & Free Games
I want to see videos about some of the more alternative engines like Sphere (it's an oldie, I know) or 20xx.
As for the games, there is plenty of them around. You can check featured games section for some classics.

RMN Birthday 2015
8 hours? I don't have 8 hours of free time over the weekend. My will be probly made in even shorter period of time.
(I hoped for a fan-fiction crossover theme).

I would consider making tree walls one tile shorter. They are too big in comparison to trees and other details. Water needs some improvements too. The pond in the bottom part has no drain.

Feedback
I can't say, I'm happy with my output. I wanted to return to it, to remove that annoying sound and make it better overall. I worked on it only for about fifty minutes from which majority was consumed by crashes and me toying with gameboy plug-in. I hope, I'll do better with Assault.
What are you thinking about right now?

I don't know what that has to do with anything I've said, but it bears mentioning that the number of colours the NES was capable of displaying didn't even reach triple digits. NES games are ugly, generally, because people had only a few limited palettes to work from. there has been no such excuse for games since the Game Boy Colour happened.
This is bullsith. I will explain my statement later.
Is it worth upgrading to Windows 10?
author=Dyhalto
I have Windows 98.
It's from the future.
Yeah, I was forced to get rid of mine. It was superior machine to my Vista powered craptop. And the soundcard was a blast.
I don't know why they bother supporting Vistas. They are piece of crap, worse than Xps in every possible aspect.
Edit: LockeZ what about Windows 98: The After Years?

Nowadays, indie games are all about franchises too. Sometimes it's about sequels and sometimes about devs. And there is so many of them, I'm completely flooded with good titles.
From my point of view only Bioshock and Shadow are real AAAs. Child of Light and Isolation are examples of AAA publisher trying indie approach and Paradox Interactive've never been your typical big house. His major cards are all alternative.

Of course, there are exceptions - Shadow of the Colossus, BioShock, Portal, and more recently Dark Souls, Pillars of Eternity (although kickstarted), Kerbal Space Program (technically funded by a company but still very much indie in spirit), Child of Light, Alien: Isolation, Cities: Skylines.

Thanks Cash!
I learnt so many things by doing this. For example that I would need more colors to make it look consistent. I used four blue, three brown, two green, one gray, one, yellow, one 'red' and one orange shade plus black and white.

I will be leaving time on Saturday, so the voting period ends before my department. Everyone can vote.
And what's next? I have two themes for you as I want be able to cast a new one on the next Wednesday. And again one is connected to giveaway. This time I chose another leftover from my library, Orcs Must Die 2 and I want you to make a map, which shows some
Tower Defense.
That's it. Try to make it intricate, throwing some sprites in front of a wall probly won't do the job.
The other theme is inspired by the announcement of X-Com 2 and new Summoner of Sounds theme.
Hideout
may seem to be a little generic. And that is good! This way you can easily employ your creativity. Do you want to picture turtles eating pizza or renegades preparing their strike? A galactic Robin Hood? It's up to you.
