@Orochii - Yeah I was mid-way through deciding on a perspective before so I kinda just mashed the resources I had together and it ended up quite a mess. This was about a year ago though so I fully intend on actually making up my mind at some point. XD (thank you for the feedback though, I will definitely take it into consideration!)
@Galv - Heh, there's always a lot of room to improve. I've been thinking about just going for pixels instead of the weird VX/A antialias style, because it's annoying as hell to make.
Future games will still likely be quite Harvest Moony!

Menu for Critique
I really like it, the character art and the windows are pretty clean and smooth - I especially love those adorable little icons in the top right when you go into skills, etc. The only thing you could improve this with is some sexy whooshy sound effects for cursor and screen transitions (but I realise those weren't added here for a reason).
In terms of practicality, your information is displayed quite clearly, everything is readable and in a sensible place, and I don't think any of the information displayed is without purpose. You give just the right amount without cluttering the page with fluff, while also keeping it quite slick and easy to control.
I'd say it's a very nice menu: easy on the eyes, easy on the brain.
