Advice to get started again?
I love Dark Sun! I still play it sometimes. Are you planning on using Dark Sun graphics as well? That would be awesome!
You can probably manage with XP. Just start simple and don't overdo it.

Olympics 2012
I've been watching it as much as I can, but most of the events happen while I'm at work. I'm rooting for Korea whenever possible!
The Here and Now of Yesterday

Little things that can ruin your day?
The idiot at my work who thinks that every bug he encounters is my fault even when it's not even a bug in something that I worked on!
IDIOT: "This part doesn't work... Why? You should test your things better."
ME: "I didn't code that part."
IDIOT: "Yeah but when the user uses our software there shouldn't be any bugs. It's supposed to work."
ME: "I didn't make that part. It was someone else."
IDIOT: "No but it's supposed to work."
Thankfully, I handed in my resignation TODAY! YEEEAH!

Which game was the biggest disappointement for you?
Not sure between these two which one was the most disappointing.
Lufia: The Legend Returns
Lufia and Lufia II were some of my favorite games on the SNES. When I heard that there was going to be a third game, I was really excited, but then I played it and it had pretty much nothing related to the other two games besides apparently taking place 100 years after the first game.
Suikoden Tierkreis
The game was not too bad by itself, but it was not Suikoden. Suikoden II is one of my favorite games of all time, and I enjoyed playing through the other games in the series (even the less interesting ones) because they were all taking place in the same world. Then Tierkreis came and destroyed all of that.

Yay! I like how it all fits together.
Not sure if it's a bug but in the room with the big barrels when I enter a word on the note it doesn't seem to do anything, or is there something else I have to do? The door locks itself once you enter the room and I can't find a way to unlock it.
