Ahh yes The Sims, milk the cow completely dry, why don't you?
Uh. The Sims 2 is seriously one of the best videogames out there. The expansion packs do not suck at all (except one... but one out of seven (eventually eight this fall) isn't that bad!) and the replayability is incredible (duh). Maxis/EA is allowed to milk that cow.
You can also milk cows in the sims. Feed it a sim and it'll produce milk!
EDIT: Oh yeah, and you can buy Spore in The Sims 2: FreeTime expansion pack, as well as actually watch your sims' computer screen to see gameplay.
Worst video games you've played this year
Hey hey hey.
Him's blog got me to buy DQ:J a while ago and I love it.
And yeah, don't grind. It's kind of rewarding if you don't kill bosses in three hits. That said, there was one boss that I died against in DQ8 because I thought that I was supposed to loose (it was also back-to-back with another boss battle that sapped nearly all my mana). Thankfully, DQ's awesome death system meant I only had to fight the second boss battle first! Before that, however, I ran around the world on my sabrecat and looted every single chest I could found and gained 3-4 levels in the process, as well as exploring a large area that later turned out to be a psuedo-dungeon later on. =D
EDIT: Oh and FF3 was rated basically the worst DS game in my collection until I actually started playing it. zomgzomgzomgzomgzomgzomgzomgzomgzomgzomgzomgzomg. I just wish Sages had more INT. :<

RPG MAKER 2000 - Still Kicking
XP + sandgolem's Battle Speed-Up script + RM2K graphics = Awesome.
VX = Awesome.
2k3 = Naturally gorgeous with a consistent graphic style.

EDIT: To give this post a little more substance, VX and KCG's scripts do everything I've ever wanted in a maker. I'm quite content.

Newbie asking for RPG Recommendation :)
Hero's Realm is sort of like HEY I AM OLD SCHOOL yet also kind of on Ritalin.
Dragon Fantasy is basically the exact same game (all old-school games are the exact same) but with a different battle system.
EDIT: oh and Versus Xerza is a complete epic with cute graphics and deadly random encounters~!~!~!!!!~~~~~!~!!~!!~!

I only spend money on good games, so this is tough... I guess Tales of the Abyss is the worst game I've played this year. And it's not even that bad!

In my opinion, compared to almost every other rpg maker game, just the demo for my game puts them to shame. I know that sounds rash or egotistical of me, but look at most of the games made with the rpg maker programs. I have played countless amounts of these amateur games and I honestly believe that most of them are a completely waste of time to even look at.
Then don't bother with the community? Seriously, if you say I WILL NOT PLAY YOUR GAMES then people will not play your own "incredible" game.
I was going to see if this game was as okayish as the replies said, but now I've decided that this project is a complete waste of time to look at.
