So I bought a copy of Suikoden V

I had a Wal*Mart staffperson open up my Oblivion box once... the box was beat up and the seal was broken (it was the last copy within a reasonable distance, however). Thankfully, the CDs were all there! After forty-eight hours of patching and hacking and lying to my computer, I was able to play Oldblivion.

I think a similar incident occured when I bought Theme Park and my mother didn't want me buying a beat-up box (I was like four or something). That too required hacking so that the mouse worked in unison with the graphics displaying!

STORY SUMMARY: If bad cases have the disks intact, you need to spend a long time fixing them before you can use them.

Oh, and SuikoV is a pretty cool game. The prince is a fag, though. :<

Final Fantasy XIII

demondestiny: The FF Prelude is the doo-doo-doo-doo crystal theme played on most of the title screens (it wasn't on FFX's or FFX-2's, I don't believe). The FF Prolouge was used in the 2D games to show off the airships and dragons and stuff; play FF4 for the best version. The Prolouge is also ridiculously awesome.

Here, I've uploaded both for you in midi format:

Final Fantasy XIII

As long as they do not butcher the prolouge theme, I am happy. However there is no chance that the prolouge theme will actually be in this, since it was barely tributed in FFXII. :<

I wonder if this game will have a HEAVY METAL PRELUDE. Like, doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo RAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH DOO DOOOOOORRRRRRAAAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHH THIS IS THE FUTURE ON SENTIENT CRYSTAL MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETH

Final Wilfredsy

So, I was searching google for some pictures of Balthier and I found this somehow:

http://www.vh1gamebreak.com/2007/07/wilfred-the-her.html

It's from last summer, but I'm pretty sure most people here haven't read it. In short, it says that Wilfred, the Hero is a hand-drawn Final Fantasy game made in RMXP. It also states that you can "play with the thick, slant-eyed rabbit below and his crazy pals." I'm pretty sure Wilfred is Kyr-Stan's singular pal and that everything else is out to kill him/remain apathetic (in the case of Froggits or whatever they were called).

In any case: hahahahahahaha.

Discuss.

You can live your life without M-rated games! The only Mature game I've ever played is Oldblivion, and look how well I've turned out.

That said, you like Jak II. What the Hell, I didn't know it was possible to enjoy that game any more than ripping your body parts off and eating them.

General question on "Skills"

Yeah, Karsuman taught me this as well. I guess LoD used it or something.

It's pretty cool, but I prefer scripting myself.

EDIT: Coincidentally, Lesnick decided to change the URL for girly. Oh well, it'll still redirect you!

...

The only thing that I thought was girly was the GiRL POWER cutscenes (i.e. story) and dresssphere changes (i.e. battles).

Hell, I don't know if I own ten PS2 games! Okay, so I do, but whatever.

10) This was hard. Shadow Hearts 2 was a great romp (for one disc), FFX has a killer battle system, and Xenosaga 1 made me love the series. I can't really decide, so I'm just going to give this to FFVI, which is my second-favorite game ever. It's also for the SNES, but that doesn't matter.

9) Suikoden V -- McDohl and I only agree on one thing in this world: Belcoot is sexy. See DQ8 for everything else.

8) Dragon Quest 8 -- It's Dragon Quest. It's got great 3D. It's got British voices (well, to American ears). It's really fucking long and progression takes forever. It has Trode.

7) Odin Sphere -- I picked this up on a whim the other day. It turned out to be a fighting game with RPG stats and an excellent story. But... ... ... it isn't perfect. I still like other games better.

6) Tales of the Abyss -- Way too long for the story (it should have ended ten hours ago!), but overall pretty well done. I love the music, and Guy is my favorite videogame guy ever. <3 <3 <3

5) FFXII -- I can only play this game in short bursts about once a month, but it's still a good game. I'm a fan of hack-and-slash combined with character customization... let's just say that I have multiple saves in this one. =D It's also a really crappy game, but see above. Balthier is also very pretty.

4) Jak and Daxter -- I don't really play platforming games, but I bought Jak 2 and I like it a lot. I've beaten it 43534535345436375 times!

3) Jak 3 -- I don't really play platforming games, but I bought Jak 3 and I like it a lot. I've beaten it twice!

2) Xenosaga 3 -- XENOSAGA THREE. I was on my knees crying during the ending. To be honest, I had NO IDEA what went on during the entire series, but the characters were so well-done I felt like I had no idea what was going on with them. Well, except Jin. I hated Jin, but that's a good thing-- he had a character I could hate. I loved his attacks, though!

1) FFX-2 -- I love this game. No three girly butts about it. The story is so simple it's fun, the battle system is amazing, the graphics are great, the costumes are ridiculous, and the world is detailed and alive (yet you only visit, like, 12 little areas). Gippal is cute, LeBlanc is a great villain, Paine is awesome and you can duel Cactuars. There's also some lesbian undertones for you straight males (...and lesbians...?) out there.
