That's kind of how I feel every time I see one of these threads.
There's nothing wrong with painting the sea or the sun, just don't slack off anywhere you do use a color.
While it is good to have a balance between the two, which do you place more emphasis on ?

So I want to make PG Maker...

@DFalcon: Sorry, but I don't want to make set of different programs, like ika tried to do, but rather full-blown RM-like solution, so probably will have to roll my own map format. I just need some tips on designing it.
It's BSD-licensed if you wanted to use it as a starting point... but even so, this is why I said "compatible". There's a lot of available code for parsing TMX and probably no particular need to reinvent the wheel for drawing tiles in layers.
So I want to make PG Maker...
For maps you could do much worse than to use or be compatible with Tiled, the dominant open-source tile mapper.
Suggested feature: subscribe to developer

So kind of like a "follow" feature? Hmmm...
I don't normally start from the social-networking perspective, but that does sound pretty accurate.
VX Ace autotile breaker?
I wrote a Python script for GIMP to rearrange VX autotiles for Oxtongue Heroes.
The actual script I used probably wouldn't be of enormous use to you because it was outputting a different autotile format instead of individual tiles, but if it's something you need to do a lot I recommend the process.

Maybe I should start by pointing out that I have periods of being an off-and-on visitor, and I don't track the new-stuff feeds very closely. So I rarely have a very good sense of what's going on games-wise except for what pops up in other contexts: featured games, articles, etc. I doubt this is that uncommon.
One specific thing we could do to improve game discovery is to let people subscribe to developers, similar to how we subscribe to games right now. It would work a lot better with the way games get made in the community, I think. Usually we subscribe to a game because we're impressed by the work the one or two creators did on it, and we'd be happy to know about another game they're doing after that thing we liked gets cancelled. (Or even finished!)
The main use case I see is subscribing to games (maybe only new games?) by the makers of an existing game, though maybe someone would want to suggest "show me when Solitayre posts an article" or the like. I'm not familiar with all the positions that can be set now, but obviously we'd want to screen out testers and the like if we went that direction.

Okay, so whenever those Strength Zone zombies use Strength Zone, they'll get +Strength Zone, immediately followed by -Strength Zone in the same turn. I guess that's not suppose to happen, especially since they'll just keep re-casting it every turn as long as they have SP.
What has been happening to me (screwed-up bugfix for this?) is that they both Strength Zone and attack in the same turn. This makes any battle I blunder into past the intro... perhaps not quite impossible, but this didn't seem like intended behavior.

Even the mighty fellow who translated the Maker and chose the fonts it would use can't figure out why they're different on different machines.
Now I have to go back and shorten dialogue boxes so that words don't get shaved off for anybody who gets the elongated text version :( Woe!
What fonts does it use? Maybe you've explored this, but seeing something like the bottom case would usually make me think it can't find the preferred font so it's using some system default.
