RMN Gamma World RPG

This is the world of Gamma Terra... Feast your eyes upon the insidious nightmares!

Gamma World is a place of mutants, desolation, and eternal struggle. After the Big Mistake many years ago, the universe was a wondrous cosmos to behold. Then, it all went south. Everything clashed together into this gamma eradiated landscape.

The players have been selected from the previous DDQ game (which is on hiatus, for this) and I am not likely to allow extra PCs at this point.
SKILL DESCRIPTIONS (not necessary to read, but if interested...)

ACROBATICS
You make an Acrobatics check to accomplish a stunt of agility. It's a good all-purpose skill for any sort of physical activity that relies more on nimbleness than muscle.
Examples: Escape restraints (easy, moderate, or hard; move action); move half your speed across a narrow or an unstable surface (moderate; move action).

ATHLETICS
You make an Athletics check to physically overcome an obstruction. Like Acrobatics, Athletics is a good all-purpose skill that encompasses a variety of tasks relying on your physical might.
Examples: Climb a rope at half your speed (easy; move action); climb a rough cliff or a ruined wall at half speed (moderate; move action); climb a smooth wall at half your speed (hard; move action); jump across a chasm (DC 5 per square jumped; part of a move action); swim through rough water at half your speed ( moderate; move action).

CONSPIRACY
You make a Conspiracy check to remember useful information about a significant person, organization or event. Making a Conspiracy check usually doesn't require an action -- either you know the answer or you don't.
Examples: Remember the basics of a significant event (easy); identify symbols or general goals of a cryptic alliance or other secret organization (moderate); remember the details of a significant event (moderate); remember a story that provides a clue to your current situation (hard).

INSIGHT
You make an Insight check to discern intent and decipher body language during social interactions. It's also a useful all-purpose skill for understanding the significance of a puzzling clue. Making an Insight check usually doesn't require an action.
Examples: See through another creature's lie (DC set by opponent's Interaction skill check); gain an advantage in a negotiation (moderate or hard).

INTERACTION
You make an Interaction check to influence someone's opinions or actions, or to gather information in a village, a town, or a city. You don't usually use Interaction during combat, but if you do, it typically requires a standard action.
Examples: Gather common information; negotiate a deal; talk someone out of attacking you; fast-talk a security robot into letting you pass; bully someone into doing what you want. Most Interaction checks use a moderate DC, but if the target is hostile to you, a hard DC is appropriate.

MECHANICS
You make a Mechanics check to use, repair or overcome Ancient machines. You don't usually use Mechanics during combat, but if you do, it typically requires a standard action.
Examples: Hot-wire a car; pick a padlock; repair an engine; drive a motorcycle; fly a helicopter; jury-rig a new machine from salvaged parts. Most Mechanics DCs are moderate or hard, depending on what you're working on and how badly it's damaged.

NATURE
You make a Nature check to identify and cope with the hazards of the natural world. The time required to make a Nature check varies based on the task, from no time at all to a few hours.
Examples: Find food and water for yourself in the wild (moderate); find food and water for a small group in the wild (hard); find your way across trackless terrain (moderate); avoid a hazard such as quicksand or carnivorous plants (moderate or hard).

PERCEPTION
You make a Perception check to notice clues, spot danger, hear someone sneaking up on you, or find a trap. You usually get to make a Perception check to notice something at the first point you could see it or hear it, but if you want to look around again, another check takes a minor action.
Examples: Find an obvious clue (easy); discover a well-hidden object (moderate); follow a faint set of tracks across stone or metal (hard); eavesdrop on a nearby conversation (easy); hear whispers through a door (hard); notice something hiding from you (DC is equal to the hiding creature's Stealth check result).

SCIENCE
You make a Science check to remember a fact about physics, geology, mathematics, computer operation, or other areas of Ancient scientific theory. You also use it to identify an unnatural hazard or to operate computerized technology. The time required to make a Science check varies based on the task, from no time at all to a few hours.
Examples: Operate a computer (moderate); identify the effects of radiation on the environment (moderate); defuse a suitcase nuke (hard); hack into a secure network (hard); reprogram an inoperative android (hard).

STEALTH
You make a Stealth check to hide yourself from an observer, both by moving quietly and by staying out of sight.
Examples: Become hidden (make a Stealth check at the end of a move action, using the observer's Perception check as your DC); move up to your speed while staying hidden (make a new Stealth check with a -5 penalty; move action).

Special: You need superior cover or total concealment to make a Stealth check to become hidden. After that, you need only cover or concealment to remain hidden. If you draw attention to yourself, such as by speaking or attacking, you don't remain hidden.

Before death, Roderick Harrington was a priest of a small cult who was attempting to discover the secret to immortality. Let's Draw a Pass-Off Comic! -Finished!-

So, it's been a while guys! Let's draw a comicbook! How 'bout it? Art skills are not necessary to join! You just have to try and do what you can. That is the most we can ask of ourselves.

This will be a Pass-Off comic. Basically, I will do a page, then the next person will get the page I did. That person will do a page and pass off ONLY THEIR page to the next person, and so on!
That way no one knows what happened before the page they get, and it makes for a truly zany ass comic. You never know what'll happen next!

Each artist will have 3 days to draw their page from the day they get their assignment. If they fail to finish and can't in time, then the page skips to the next person available until someone takes it on.

This is Bun-Bo. He seems to be a bit neurotic, sleeps in a lot, and is panicky.

Here's how to draw him!

This is Mew Mew. He seems to be an extroverted, happy-go-lucky, clueless, scaredy-cat of a giant sabretooth tiger.

Mr. Hatter
(yes, its spelled with a hat) is Bun-Bo's boss. He takes punctuality very seriously, and is the main reason Bun-Bo is so neurotic and panicky. He's got a foul temper, and his face literally transforms when he's angry.

Team-Captin Comics

Hey Gang! This here is my attempt at a sustained experience. I'm aiming at 1 year of daily comics. They'll be three panels, often about Belt Thunder's ever-changing super powers. The sunday issues I am considering doing more for. We'll see! It'll be a silly adventure, and every day will host a different Captin Universe character. There's TONS! If I run out, well, shyucks! Maybe some repeats.
Here we go!

XMAS Story 2013

Every year, I write a story about Christmas and stuff for my family, as a way to spit in the eye of consumerism. I'm not religious about it and still get people gifts. But, most people just get my story. This year, my family is in tatters and while I was going to write a story about holograms, family issues and a man contemplating suicide; I wrote this fluff piece. Couldn't be assed. Still, it's a bit of fun, so please enjoy. If you enjoy reading words, that is.

Here’s What Happened
by J. S. Longstreet

Okay, so I totally found this rock that gave me a super duper power. Can you imagine that? I couldn't, nor could my friend Teddy. Oh well, his loss. I could do pretty much anything I wanted to. If I wanted to fly, I could fly. If I wanted to draw really well, I could draw really well. If I wanted to know the lyrics to any song, I could do that too! You name it! Boy was I super duper excited! I became better than Superman! It was soooo cool.
So you're probably wondering who I am, well that's easy! I'm Billy Bowman. My dad owns a tire dealership. It was cool that he let me use my room as my base of operation. Mom didn't mind, but said I had to leave my super duper hero suit at home in the toychest whenever I went to visit her on weekends, which kinda was not fun. After all how can a super duper hero do his work outside of his uniform? No one would recognise me! They'd just say, "Hey look in the sky! It's a kid!" And then people would be afraid.
But if they saw a super duper hero up there, they'd say, "Wowie-zowie, lookie there! It's a super duper hero!"
Anyway, It was one of the mom-visiting weekends that did me in. I had to visit when Aunt Margie was there with her stinky old cat named King.
King is my arch-nemesis. He chews cords, claws couches, pees on the floor, and lays in front of you when you are walking by. He's such a meanie! And when I pet him, he just bites me! Such a bad cat. He is my enemy.
When King saw me come in the door, he began purring and rubbing against my leg, acting all cute and nice; but I knew he was just putting a show on for my mom and Aunt Margie, who was knitting next to Mom’s new television set. She was watching Leave it to Beaver. Golly! I was tempted to join her, but my mom made me go upstairs and wash up before dinner. She always did that. It's a Mom thing.
When I was at the top of her stairs, looking at her bathroom, I felt King’s eyes on the back of my neck. He was up to something now that no one was looking. Before I could turn to check, the cat slinked by me and into the bathroom ahead, then laid on the bath mat as if it were a bed.
King was an especially fat and fluffy tabby, so he looked especially like a big old football that had grown into a mammal overnight. It was real annoying having that darn cat in there, because he would always bite my ankles and cover my pants in fur.
Once, I started to wash my hands, of course King got up like a slug and began rubbing against me. I even said, "No King! Go away, kitty!" But he just wouldn't! He purred louder and began laying around with his belly up.
Then, when I kicked him gently to go away, he pawed at my legs and his little claws caught in my sock. He tried pulling it free, but it was stuck. Finally, he pried it out but in doing so, ripped the back of my sock! I hated that cat so much. When I wasn't really thinking, my super duper powers activated, and I turned him into a big old spring. Then I kicked him again, not knowing what I had done, and he went boing boing boing bouncing down the stairs into the living room where my Aunt Margie was watching television. I guess King the Spring meowed, because the next minute, my Aunt came screeching out of the room, and was crying so much!
I was really afraid so I went into my special room, where my mom kept a bed for me and her guests, and hid under the bed. I didn't know that I had turned invisible, but apparently I had because no one could find me! They were calling my name, sounding terrified but I knew they were actually just real sore with me for turning King into a coil of cat. It was an honest mistake anyone with super duper powers might make! Honest!
If I had known he was a spring before I kicked him away for clawing my sock, then I wouldn’t have kicked quite so hard---or maybe I would have turned him back into a cat again! But it was a spring.
Anyway, after an hour, I heard my mom and Aunt Margie say that I wasn't in the house, and then the front door close shut. I guess they were super angry because they didn't come back for hours! After that, I was really bored, and became visible again. I crawled out from under the bed, and went downstairs. King the Spring was laying on his side, meowing helplessly. I felt kinda bad about it, so I tried to turn him back into a cat again, but I couldn't! Something was wrong with my powers, because King only turned into a Spring-Cat! The front was a cat with head and legs. The rest was just a long spring!
At once, King began bouncing around the apartment. His coil snagged on Aunt Margie's knitting and undid all her work. Then he bounced so much that the yarn was draped all across the living room. When he had done that, King clawed the window drapes and stuck to it. There he waited and meowed.
What happened next was incredible! I was so angry at King for making a mess that I turned him accidentally into a Spring-Giraffe! The Spring-Giraffe was really super annoying and long. He was super tall and his neck was made a spring, which didn't fit in the living room. So King the Spring-Giraffe had to bend down between his legs.
In the scramble to stay in the room, King's legs kicked and fussed, knockng holes in the wall, window, and even mom's expensive television! It was horrible! So of course I tried and tried and tried to resize King into a Spring-Giraffe the size of regular King. But it didn't work, and he became a mouse-sized King! I didn't know what to do now because King scrambled and wobbled under the sofa was never seen again. Ha, I wish. Actually he just hid there while I searched all over for him, so I could try to turn him back into a cat again. It was no good because Mom's sofa was too low to get under. So I did the only thing I could do, and that was shrink down into the size of a mouse myself!
At this size I was having trouble moving across the floor, since the carpet was up to my knees. But I stuck it out and waddled under the sofa. It was real scary and dark under there. I had to grow lightbulb eyes so I could see in the dark, it was the only way! When I turned on my light bulb eyes, I was able to see King's wobbling head as he pranced around under the sofa! So next I used the ability to grow really big fishnet hands and caught him! I tried to turn him back into a cat as soon as I caught him.
King meowed and turned back into a cat body. Which was now very bigger than me. So I had to run because King thought I was a snack, or maybe because he's super duper evil and hates me. This is why I call him my super nemesis. I never liked him and he always hated me, and tried to get me in trouble.
Finally I got out from under the sofa and began to fly. I zoomed around the house and landed on top of the lamp next to the sofa. King instantly leapt at me and tried to eat me again, knocking over the lamp this time. So I flew across to the bookshelf all the way to the top and sat there.
Then King started clawing up the shelf, knocking books off each shelf as he went, until he got to the top where his weight made the bookshelf fall over. King and I lept off to the side and were unhurt, but the bookshelf broke in half and books were everywhere!
When I landed on the ground, and I was back to my normal size and my eyes were normal! King glanced at me, then slinked away out of the room to go eat dinner. That was when my mom and Auntie Margie came home. They opened the front door and there I was surrounded by the destroyed living room, with yarn all over. It was a real disaster. My mom fell against the wall in disbelief, while my Aunt Margie said, "You see what I told you? Leave that brat alone for five minutes and he'll destroy the place!”
I tried to explain everything that happened, but for some reason no one believed me.
That's when King came back and rubbed against my side. I was defeated. Everyone blamed me for the mess and I was sent to my room without dinner.
After that night, my dad grounded me every night for months. It was terrible. Eventually, the powers that I had gotten from the mysterious rock began to fade, and I couldn't do anything except tie my own shoes. Everything I wanted to do was normal stuff, like playing with Teddy in the park.
A year later, King died and Aunt Margie began to live with the my mom. Never again could I use super duper powers. But, I swear it all happened. I'm not lying. If I could still use my powers I would go back in time and fix everything before King ruined my life.

Rules and Such Stuff:
The Rules:
1. Online, DM rolls dice. Offline, players roll dice. That way there's no trust issues or anything.
2. Players decide what to do, without direction. You can decide to do literally anything that would physically make some sort of sense.
3. Player cannot godmode and tell the DM what happens; only what they try to do. (If it's funny enough, it'll probably work!)
4. Drag-Master rolls 1d6 to decide the outcome of any choice. Battle damage has it's own rulesets.
5. Don't take it too serious, and have fun!

The System:
-Each enemy defeated gains a player 1 EXP.
-Each level up costs the same EXP as the next level cost. (To reach Level 3, you require 3 EXP. Etc.)
-On even levels, you gain 1 HP and 1 MP.
-On odd levels, you gain 1 Super Power Boost. (Eg. A flame-user super hero, can get a Flame Wall or Fire Bomb as a new 'skill' within the chosen ability pool.)
-Gameplay happens where everyone posts their action, dialogue or otherwise, and then a 'game post' by me will happen. Very similar to the Final Fantasy RPG.

Skills:
At the start you make up a super power. Be it generic or weird. We'll make it work.
From there, addition 'power ups' will increase the strength of your current skills, and grant you more elaborate uses.
Your first skill will be 1d6 strong. Second skill will raise it to 2d6. And so on.
However, if you decide to gain a new type of power, say Healing Factor, then it would start at 1d6, and the original power set would not grow in strength.
Only restrictions: You cannot tell me what happens. So a power that outright kills people, is no good. The goal here is to have a few laughs, after all!
Each skill uses 1 MP, and MP will reset after every battle.
Any special skill rules will come up as we play.
If you want to have a Batman-style powerless character, then PM me and we'll hash something out. Make sure to grab your spot ASAP though!

City of Titans! Goal Reached!

So, some you knew of City of Heroes, which as of last year was shut down by NCSoft when they brought out Knights of the Old Republic. Ever since, those of us who tried to save that city have been pining for more. DCUO and Champions just don't fit the bill. They're both alright games, but they lack that certain something.
That something City of Titans hopes to fill.
(Even possibly Spider-Man swinging travel power!?)

Anyway, cool enough a group of developers and talented fans are going to make the Spiritual Successor. They're funding through Kickstarters and have a forum and budding community eagerly awaiting this 2015 game.
I'm on their forum as Dudesoft (of course!)
And in a deft swoop I put up the IRC channel on the same server as us, which members are already responding too. (Aw yeah!)
Anywho!
HERE is the Kickstarter for City of Titans

The IRC channel is on irc.synirc.net (SynIRC) #cityoftitans

Rmnverse Game - Death on Addit-4! (Cancelled)

This is Fight Fest 3: 2nd Impact - "Death on Addit-4!"
A murder-mystery type game for 13 players. Below you will see an image of Spaceship Addit-4, on which will take place a murder. In this game, twelve players will be innocent and one will be a murderer.
- The murderer could be anyone besides the cyborg and will have a list of 3 non-cyborg targets.
- The murderer wins when all three targets are eliminated, and then gets to the Cargo Hull or Navigation section of the ship for an Escape Pod without dying (additional kills don't matter).
- All other Players win if they are alive when then murderer dies.

S. S. Addit-4

How to Play:

Each turn you have a single action which is submitted privately to CAVEDOG_IS_BACK:
#Move, will move you from one section of the ship to another.
- As part of this action you will be told all Players you pass by (exit from the section you're entering to, to the section you're exiting from) and all Players in the section you entered (either people who are still in there, or just moved there).
- Attempting to move through a door that you can't move through will cause you to stay in your current room.

#Kill by selecting a Player currently in the room with you, they die; regardless of what they used their action for.

You will also be told all players who enter or exit a room (or who stay in that room with you) if you stay in a room. That's the very basis. There are things to spice it up:

Job Door Access: Along with either being the murderer or not, you will be one of four possible types:
- Basic Crew: Only go through black doors. (6 players will be basic)
-Maintenance Crew: Only go through black and green doors. (3 players will be Maintenance)
-Security Crew: Only go through black and red doors. (2 players will be Security)
-Cyborg: Cannot be the murderer, has no #Kill action, however, can be killed and can go through black, green, and red doors. (1 player will be Cyborg)
-Captain: Can access all doors, including the blue captain door and the secret tunnel between Captain's Quarters and Security. (1 player will be Captain)
-Sneak Through Doors! Players can move through a door they don't have access to if, on the same turn, a Player who does have access moves through it.

Access Cards
If you kill a player you automatically steal their access card, meaning you can access all places they can access. The exception is the Cyborg, whose access card is built in.

Special Rooms
-Navigation and Cargo Hull have the Escape Pod action, which can only be used by the Murderer after killing the three targets, causing the Murderer to win.
-Control and Security have the #Lock or #Unlock Door action, which lets you set a door's status to 0, 1, or 2. 0 means anyone can use that door. 1 means only those with proper access can use it, which is the default setting for all doors. 2 means nobody can use it. The secret tunnel is not considered a door.
-Security has the Remote Camera action, which lets you view all activity in target room.
-Storage, Supply, and Cargo Hull have the #Hide action. Nobody can see you in the same turn you do this, although they can still target you with a generic action (#Kill Hiders) if they think you are in the room.

Murderer's Tools
The Murderer has access to various tools to accomplish the mission. Note that using these do not look suspicious, only causing you to stay in the same room.
The murderer may pick 2 of any of the following tools at the start of the game:
-Remote Control: Use the #Lock/#Unlock Door action from anywhere, infinite uses.
-Poison: 1 time use that's like the #Kill action, except it takes 3 turns (including the turn you used it) to kill the target and you don't get their access card.
-Camera Jammer: When used, nobody can use the Remote Camera action for the rest of the game.
-Cyborg Hacker: Can only be used in the same room with the Cyborg. The Cyborg now wins when you win, instead of with the crew.
-Teleporter: Works 2 times, teleport to any section of the ship. (Note: This is the only object that doesn't cause you to stay in the room you're currently in.)
-Grenade: Only 1 time use to kill everyone else in the same room as you. Does not include people who enter into the room.

Communication
You can communicate in this thread at any time unless you are dead. You can also privately message any player in the same room as you, but you are expected to no longer talk to this person if you're not in the same room. To submit your action for a turn, PM it to CAVEDOG_IS_BACK.
Actions are resolved at the same time after all actions are received.

Anti-Abuse Rule: Intentionally locking yourself in a room for a long period of time can lead to negative health consequences, such as death.

Mini-Mafia - Stik Warz

The ever-bland land of Stik, home of the Stik Ninja Clanz, is in a great political strife. After a decade of peace led by the Exclamarx Clan, murder of the high council has stirred old feuds.
It is the job of all Shinobi to discover the murderer, however all clan warriors are suspicious! Thus, the Shinobi from each clan has been disbatched to find out the murderer and kill him or her!

Each Stik Clan has a special power, however none are bullet-proof, able to cure/reserect, or double vote.
There will be only Secret Voting. When all the votes are tallied, the voters will be revealed for the victim.
The Killer will be picked at random via dice roll. I have no control over who it will be and will not select through any bias.

The game is over when the killer(s) are killed. If it's down to killer(s) majority, then the killer(s) win.

The Stik Clanz

Adon237 Exclamarx
Noble sword users, who have along history of dominance in the land of Stik. They are excellent warriors, though of late there has been a power struggle within their clan.

Wildwes Quezta'Io
Once a strong clan in the land of Stik was stripped from power during the Exclamarx Dynasty take over. They have long sought to reclaim their former glory.

Jeroen_Sol Koma
A quiet, resilient clan who casually speak in run-on sentences. They are ferocious as bears in battle, but as docile as bears in winter. It is wise to never turn your back to a Koma.

PlatinumAshes Dalla Cine
The merchant clan of Dalla are both wealthy, frugal and vicious. Once, they enjoyed the arms race between the 9 other tribes, and have since dreamed of the money to be made from such a war.

MirrorMasq Amber-san
A small, but careful clan who flip between alliances like nobodies business. They seldom fight alone, if they have no allies then they simply pair up.

PsychoWafgleCu'Otasion
A clan of the North Wind, these believe devotely in the scriptures of the Great Pencil in the Sky, and that they are the chosen people. They're often worried of the Wrath of Eraser.

Gourd_ClaeTill Duh
Farmers, who live on the Isle of Approximation, where they were undisturbed until the Great Stik Warz broke out years ago. Ever since, the Exclamarx Dynasty has deemed them the source of the Stik land's food source. A point in history, the Till Duh Clan is greatly miffed by.

thatbennyguyPurrsent
Cat worshipping clansmen who are but a small fraction of the Stik land population, and they know it. The smallest of the clans, but perhaps the most stubborn clan. They refuse to conform to Exclamarx law, and live in solitude. It is their great wish that the Exclamarx Dynasty falls.

MajoracanKing Nombre
The second biggest clan, and also great builders. These carpenters are the ones who built the central city. Bitter that the Exclamarx Dynasty stole their hard work to become the country's hub, the Nombre make no secret of their anger.

CAVEDOG_IS_BACK The Great Lessirthan
These folk worship the great water snake, Lessirthan, and believe they are above the law, and constantly challenge the Exclamarx in the House of Politics. However, they are always snuffed out, stepped on, and pushed aside at all times by the Exclamarx warriors.
