FF5 Berserker with Two-Handed was unstoppable btw
Also I don't like this game as much as the original. Maybe I just need to get further in. The billions of "bump!" events don't help. :<
I figured that not everyone would like it as much as the first, b-but you dont like the "bump!" events!? :-\ Noooo!!!
Also, I have to wonder...out of the 800~ people that downloaded the original, how many actually finished it? Ha ha. How many people really finish the RPG maker games they download?

Yes, i got hit 4 or 5 times in a row against the first monster i fought, the difficulty so far is pretty hard which is why i quite enjoy it a lot. Anyway, it's pretty good so far and will probably play some more later on.
The first monsster you fought? Was it a SINGLE monster, or an enemy group? Also, what does your party consist of? I can't really see anyone being taken down THAT fast. I've encounted countless monster, and I have yet to see any that could do that. Ah well, I guess they just deicde to stay away from me or something.

Yeah its harder than I expected actually, perhaps thats because i've got a gang of berserkers, maybe I should play it properly (i'm getting quite far now though, now I just wanna see if I really can complete it), when you said low HP no joke, they start off with 8.
Also, you have a make a 3rd to finish the series off, then its a trilogy!...TRILOGY!
Gang of Berserker's, eh? So you actually decided to go with it? Ha ha. I don't think I would ever try that, as I would want to have control over SOME of the party members (hero does not count. <.<) Also, they have a higher HP in the final version, and a few new tricks up their sleeves to make them more usefull.
And a THRID game!? Ha ha! If only I could! I will have to finish this one before even THINKING about making a third!
Also...how far are you? I'm curious. Always have, and always will be. >.>

Ha ha. What discussion! People talking about the Berserker class like nothing else! I think it's nice to have it in it's berserk-like state all the time, as then it lives up to the name of "The Berserker". Also, it's not really BERSERK, it's set to AI-Control only. He he. ;.;
And 4 Berserkers!? Holy hell man! You may be able to fly through everything, but I don't think it's the most fun way of doing things. But in this demo, you might die pretty quickly due to some enmies Multi-hit attacks.

I'm pretty sure that they should not be TOO overpowered. I might have to lower their DEF stat a tad bit to make up for thir super ATK, though. That, and they have a weakness to magic , and low MND, so Magic-based attacks will still hurt them quite a bit.
[Final Demo] Dragon Fantasy II
Alrighty then. Well, I've given them alot more HP (their total at Level 50 now is 200, the highest in the game for the party) and have given them the Two-Weapon option. The Status Mage hit's the enemy twice, and as the Berserker is pretty ceap already, I've decided to not have them hit twice. Also, they are the only class able to equip the Berserker's Charm, an accessory which gives 40% Porotection from all status effects, and makes physical attacks from the enemy hit less often.

I've always loved your games, Ephiam, and I'll check this out. I still say that I object to how your make the Berserker useless. I love Berserkers, so can't you make them more of an asset this time around?
Awesome. Glad you're still gonna download it! Also, I've been meaning to make a better description of the classes and such, but I have not gotten around to it yet. Yes, yes, I know! I'm lazy, ok. I admit it. :P
Most of the things above are more personal opinion, or things I THOUGHT the people playing the game might have thought. They're not USELESS, it's just that I tried to show what some people may complain about.
And do you have any ideas on how to improve the Berserker? I'm SURE you said something before...but I can't remember. =(

I really like most of this game. Almost a perfect replica of the graphics/sound of DQ. Except for the final fantasy victory theme at the end of battles...
One thing that I find fatally flawed is the class system. You really don't describe what each class can do, and they're balanced oddly. You even advertise the fact that some classes suck more than others, and one of them is "useless." Why even make it then?
Why would Holy Knight/ Dark Knight have lower staying power than a priest or mage that can cast the most powerful specialized magic? Sorry, I'm just a huge stickler on class systems. You've really got to make every class useful and unique. Sometimes that means reducing the total amount of classes. Nothing drives me more nuts than 15 different melee DPS classes that DO THE SAME THING but basically have palette swaps. Granted you don't have it that bad, but it's still a class system that didn't seem to recieve a great deal of meticulous planning.
Yeah, as said above though, I've been meaning to update those descriptions a tad bit.
Also, the Dark Knight and the Holy Knight are just like a Warrior+Black Mage/White Mage. They can cast a fair ammount of magic, but they can also be used to deal a nice ammount of physical damage to the enemy as well. They also have a higher DEF rating, and are faster than a White/Black Mage (well, I'm going to make it like that, anyway.)
Still, instead of really deleting them, do you know how I might be able to improve on them a bit? Nothing TOO drastic, mind you.

Ephiam, I am going to give this thing a go tomorrow because it looks radical. Also, I haven't beat the first one? Do I fail? How much of a sequel is this?
Woot! Thank you. Also, you don't fail, because you do not really need to play the other game to understand what is happening. I basically described it up top. You just might get a little confuzed later on, is all.
[Final Demo] Dragon Fantasy II

The Main Story:
It has been 100 years since the end of the first Dragon Fantasy. Veryl has been destroyed and the planet's original power has been restored. However, even the Crystal's could not destroy the power of the Dark Lord comletely. Instead, they destroyed the castle's outer shell and contained the vast power of Venaitura within a sphere of light.
But now...the skies once again are covered with a vast and expansive wave of darkness. The temple where the orb was contained had been breached and the power of Venaitura stolen! Using it's power, a fiend by the name of Emperor Xyan has opened a gateway to the Dark World and has called forth a plethora of demons to do his bidding.
You are the Hero's decendant. Having the blood of the legendary Hero who had defeated Veryl, the King of Zebon calls you and your allies to his chamber. He tells you of your duty, and thus you must embark on an epic quest in order to save your homelands from destruction once again!
Character Classes:
-Unlike in the first Dragon Fantasy where you had a pre-set party with specific classes, you are free to choose whomever you want your party to consist of from the beginning in this second installment. Your main character is ALWAYS the Hero class, but you may chose his/her gender and three other companions and their classes.-
The Hero
Info: The class that your main character is set as. He/she is named by you, and is also given a gender by you. The Hero is pretty well-rounded, and is able to cast a nice variety of Healing Spells, Damaging Spells, and Status Spells. His/Her stats are pretty even, and he/she does not fall short on many things.
The Knight
Ah yes, the Knight...what would you ever do without one? Though they COMPLETELY lack the ability to cast any form of magic, they make up for it with HP, DEF, and STR. They are pretty good if you want and well-rounded party, but too many of them could make fighting enemies a hassel (especially those that are impervious to physical attacks!) as well as boring. If you want to use the Knight, make sure to choose only one.
The Mage
The Mage! How could you even THINK about not having one of these? With the most spells to choose from, and with the most devestating attackss in the game, they are basically a MUST have for ANY party! However....they DO lack the HP's of other classes.
The Priest
The basic healer of the group. The Priest class has a decently high MP count, and is virtually the fastest character available to you (besides the Status Mage.)They can cure any ailment, and can protect your party from virtually anything.
The Status Mage
A mage in whom deals primarily with Status Effects and boosting up your party. They obtain good spells like Surround and Upper early on, but are not really as useful as the Priest or Mage. However, they do have one of the higher ATK ratings of the mages, though, and their weapons permit them a great boost in both AGL, ATK and allow them to attack twice pe-turn.
The Sage
The Sage can be considered a Red Mage of sorts; Learning both Damaging (Black) and Healing (White) magics. This may SEEM like a good thing to some, but they really lack the complete arsenal of the regular Mage and Priest and can only use a very restricted set of spells from both categories. Their MP and HP are nothing too good either. However, they have the greatest INT out of all the classes, thus they may prove to cause more damage.
The Dark Knight and Holy Knight
The Dark/Holy Knight's could be said to be a mixture between the Knight class and the Mage/Priest classes. They both have fairly good ATK, DEF and HP count, as well as a good supply of MP to eat away at. The Holy Knight deals with White Magic and the Dark Knight deals with Black Magic.
The Berserker
Not much can be said about this class, really. Though bearing the absolute LOWEST HP, and the absolute HIGHEST STR...they are virtually useless. Unless you REALLY like brawlers, DO NOT use this class. They are CONSTANTLY in Berserk-like status and they CAN NOT be controled by you.
Screen Shots:

This is just a small demo to show you what Dragon Fantasy 2 will consist of. This is the final demo, and it will be the last untill the final game is released.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this. I seem to like it MUCH more the the first Dragon Fantasy...but will you?

Little Wing Guy: Whoah, those screens look great. I like the cluttered style (where there is a lot on-screen/ going on.) And I would have to agree with those who said to go with the menu-based part selection system. It would just be more convinient, I think. Also, I would have to add that on the second screen shot, I would pick the blueish menu. I just like that look. =)
iamnot: Nice. I would say to go with the ice that looks as if it were a mixture of the many other blues (one in the right-hand corner). I like that look better than the greyish ice, personally. Also, I like the forest and all...but the top of the tree seems to be too small compared to the trunk. =\
And here is another DF II screenshot. It is a sort of puzzle area. Nothing big, really. I just wanted to put something different in there.
