I may or may not finish a game I have started. *shrug*

Wow, Look, Progress!

Well, as long as you don't burn yourself out on development, work as long as you want! I'm glad to hear this game is still alive, since I've been anticipating DRV3 for a while now, so keep up the good work as usual!

*Investigation Theme Starts Playing*

This came sooner than expected, but I have to say the art direction is spectacular! I can't wait to see more!

Game Testers Wanted, Some Questions, and a Brief Progress Report

Okay, so after refreshing myself on the difficulties, I'm definitely not going to do the worst difficulty. However, I might do the Hairbringer of Despair or the one after that, since they sound fair enough. Although, if there was a fast-forward through text option, the final difficulty would be pretty easy, given you knew exactly how to beat the game.

Game Testers Wanted, Some Questions, and a Brief Progress Report

Okay, it all makes sense now! Considering I love Ace Attorney, I'm up for the toughest challenge you have (even if I'll regret it later)!

Game Testers Wanted, Some Questions, and a Brief Progress Report

The problem with beta testing with me is that I simply don't have the time on weekdays currently (subject to change), and I don't necessarily agree with the episodic releases either (since I assume beta testers play the game episodically). Also, maybe I haven't paying as much attention to detail as I should have, but what's the point of a difficulty setting, since I presume it only affects trials? Does difficulty change how likely it is you'll die?

Other than that, the endings better be good enough to justify only having two :). I mean, I'm expecting some Zero Escape levels of immersion (No pressure). Although, a joke mode sounds strangely enticing...

Anyway, the game looks great so far, and I look forward to more, even if it means waiting for the full release. Honestly, episodic releases would be a detriment to flow and game development. I believe it should be released as a full package (no day 1 DLC plz).

RMN 9th Birthday Bash!

I haven't checked this thread in a while due, but I'm thankful for all the feedback on my game (but I can't be bothered to find the individual posts that critiqued my game and quote them. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ )

Anyway, it was somehow the first game I've ever finished, since I usually lose interest in my games after about an hour due to lack of motivation/ideas. As far as this game was concerned, I ran into many problems, but in the end, I am happy with how it turned out.

I was, however, disappointed with how the mapping turned out (especially the final boss' map), but I am happy with how the map in the cutscene turned out, at least.

I had fun designing the enemies in the game with my personal favorite being Bad Dinosaur. Actually, his name was originally "Bad Dragon" (which I assume some people here know about), but after I mapped out the cave, I realized that I intended to use a dinosaur instead...so it became Bad Dinosaur.

The only thing I have never actuallu learned how to utilize well in RPG Maker is the battle system...I don't know how to structure stats and calculations and whatnot, so I do need to invest into that sometime.

So there's my feedback on the game and its development. After seeing how well this turned out, I plan on entering future contests, since this format seems to fit my style of development, and I also wanted to make a name of myself instead of being a lurker for a year (I'm pretty sure I've lurked here for at least a year, but I don't know).

tl;dr In the end, my game was a little too ambitious for the time frame specified, and that kind of messed up the game later on, but I'm okay with that.

RMN 9th Birthday Bash!

Welp, I've submitted my unbalanced mess of a game...At least the first map looks great (can't say the same for the other two). And those last two hours of development were hellish indeed.

Yeah, I kinda figured it would be like EarthBound banks, but treasure is schweet, too.
