Hmm, I don't think so. It helps to give the Grand Lakes (I love that name too) a calm feeling... kind of mysterious too. Very pretty mapping as usual!

This is turning out to be much more in-depth than I thought it would be! I bet you could turn this game into something MUCH longer than a four hour first attempt!

I really like that idea Carvonica! Just a suggestion, maybe as you progress to towns further in the game it will require more than one quest to earn the Guild's trust, but you will get better equipment and rewards.

Really? I find databasing to be pretty easy (but I space myself, I don't put anything in the database until I am at the point in the game where the caracter would encounter it.)
Mapping is my struggle, but I'm slooooooowly getting better. The maps in this game are really great however.

Agreed. A lot of games try that kind of option, but very few handle it the right way. I'm sure this will though :) the description alone has made me confident.
