RMVX - Change Background Image during the game?
RMVX - Change Background Image during the game?
Is there a way to change the background image of a map during the game in RMVX? Because I have a day and night system and during the day the backgroudns are fine but during the nght i would like to have a different background. so my question is: is this possible and if so, how?

Edit: i should clarify:
i know how to set a variable to players x and y, but i dont know how to create an event there. i doubt rmvx can even create events ingame, so i have to create an event outside of the map on every single map to put it to the palyers coordinates when asked, right?

I already tried that, i have trouble creating an event where the player is (or next to him) no matter where the player is. the rest should be doable with eventing, but that first part, that "create entity where player is" really is above me...

Hello there,
while the title topic is kinda saying it all, I'd like to go into some detail here.
If any of you played Second Sight, you already know the basics. Let me explain:
I want the player to be able to create a holoprojection of himself. Said projection can be controled as player and used to activate switches behind laser or spikes, places where the player couldnt get to earlier.
Now, here is what the ability should do:
Press Button (preferably NOT the run button) to create clone. Clone can only be created if 100(or whatever) mana is available. The holo clone gets created where the player is. From this point on for the next ten seconds(or 50 steps?) this clone is controled by the player. That means the player is standing there doing nothing while the clone walks around. Enemies cant see or detect the clone, but switches can, obviously. If time (steps) is up, the clone disappears and the player continues on his quest.
So, basically I need a script for that. Or some great eventing. either way, thanx^^

I got a review detailing a bunch of bugs and I have fixed them, and every time somebody reports a new bug i will fix it right away. I want this game to be good, but it IS my first RPG maker game. I hope my second one fares better^^
thanx for taking your time. i have NO CLUE however why that box follows you around. that box has no code, so dunno why that happens :(
