[RMVX ACE] RECRUITING FOR A COMMERCIAL PROJECT - URBAN FANTASY

Is this still for the company you work for?

Seasoned Voice Over Artist - Andy Cowley - Available for work

One thing to remember @TheDragonhat is that most people using RPGMaker are making games as a hobby. You might have picked the wrong crowd, especially since Voice Acting in RPGMaker isn't usually a thing due to the limited graphics. But I wish you luck all the same :).

Examples would be good.

I found this game made by the SFML engine.

Kory, SFML is a framework but it's not an engine. In the same way that Ruby isn't RPGMaker. That being said, yes that is a little bit what SFML can do. It's also capable of tons more, we use it for Rendering Graphics to the screen, playing audio and input. Past that the rest of the engine was written nearly entirely by me. Adding things like Vector math, Scene Management, Animations, Physics, Particles, Tilemaps, Freemaps, Lighting Engines, etc...

Just for clarities sake :).

Do not 'small bump'. Multiple posts are against site rules, especially in such a small time frame. Instead, just wait patiently. People will see or not but whether they respond is up to them and not up to you to bump. Also, tone down the size of those headings a bit, mate. They make the whole thing hard to read.

People engage with imagery a lot more than with text. Perhaps show off a few images of your engine so that they can see what they'd be working with. Also, show a few images of what is capable in your engine so they know what they can do with it.

I appreciate the advice, What exactly are the rules on bumps? My bump was 4 days apart from my last post. I thought this would be a sufficient time-frame. If you could direct me to the rules regarding this issue I would very much appreciate it so I don't make the same mistake again when I signed up the only rules I found were these http://rpgmaker.net/code_of_conduct/

I had a look at some tutorials for that engine, that's some pretty complex stuff.
(It took 5 tutorial videos just to go through how to make an opening window with nothing on it.)

SFML is a graphic, audio and input framework. I took that and with my own code turned it into an engine. http://www.ayphix.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=48 here's an old tutorial. This engine has been even more stream-lined than this.

You should also note that you couldn't remake the game using the RTP in RPG Maker. Since this is against the terms of use and would probably get your engine into trouble. (Does your engine have its own tile sets? / Or would your engine support the High Fantasy Pack made by Pioneer Valley Games, which isn't tied to Enterbrain.)

What kind of sound files does your maker support? (OGG / MP3)
Graphics Files? (PNG / JPG)

I own some graphics / music that isn't ties to Enterbrain.
I might be interested, but not for a remake.
Just to make a short demo, etc...

This isn't tied to just remakes of games already done, it's for any original ideas that want to use the engine to get a more custom and unlimited feel to their games. The Engine itself uses SFML for image and audio loading/playing so for audio http://www.sfml-dev.org/faq.php#audio-formats and for graphics. http://www.sfml-dev.org/faq.php#graphics-image-formats as for what "Packs" the engine supports I can make it support anything.

As for RTP you are correct the engine will NOT support RTP, I was expecting that most if not all sprites would be custom made by either the developer or myself or a one of my team members.

Small bump, I clarified the title.

Looking to hire game maker

author=PetitexCosette
Im looking to get a custom RPG maker game made for my boyfriend for his birthday. Ive tried other sites like gaia or Toyhou.se but no one seems to know how so Im trying here. Id like it to be a pretty long game since he speeds through them quickly. I have the story and characters, I may even be able to provide the art. Its based off the shirt I made him for valentinesday. (Its my only deviation since I cant draw and the artist wanted to see how it turned out.) Looking for custom sprites, coding, and a game maker. All in one would be great. Please list prices.

Does it need to be in RPGMaker or could you use another engine?

Seeking visible advertisement business partners

This isn't really a "Business Partner" you are hiring marketers on commission if it was a partner they would would own a % of your company and your assets. Meaning they have that much % of a say in your companies practices. Please adjust the topic to reflect this and prevent any misunderstandings.

MMO Team

author=Kylaila
Hello there!

First a few hints - and a nice article regarding teamwork.
http://rpgmaker.net/articles/1058/
http://rpgmaker.net/forums/topics/15827/

Try to meat up your description, especially regarding your abilities - as it is, the topic seems very messy (no breaks, no examples, no ideas). You won't get any people onboard as it is.
Good luck!

As Kylaila said it's hard to read what you have written here, also there's no real information about the project here,
  • is it commercial?
  • Whats the split on the profits?
  • Is it going to be pay 2 play or a subscription or have micro-transactions?
  • Are you aware of how much it costs to maintain an MMO of any kind?
  • Do you have servers ready for it?
  • You cant run it off of your development machine it will lag too much.
  • Do you have a security team ready for handling the hack attempts?

These are just a few things to consider when making an MMO I'm not telling you that it's impossible or that you shouldn't I'm just telling you to have a plan first.

Now that that's out of the way, let's talk about how to attract potential team mates, format your post better, I spent hours formatting my post:
http://rpgmaker.net/forums/topics/17873/

You are saying you have something to offer, show it let us see what you can do. This is something I still have to do on my post as well (I'm guessing it's why my post hasn't had as much of a reaction), so I'm guilty of that too. But my post is formatted well and explains everything I'm looking for, and what my expectations are in just about any situation.
