Revive the Dead 2: Deader or Alive
Sure? I'll give you a definite maybe!
I'm still marching through balancing, changing and redoing encounters, fixing bugs, and adding random features. Here's one of each:
BALANCING:
I recently changed the duration of the late-game. I cut down on the number of encounters in most mid-late game dungeons. The most egregious was a dungeon that required 8 encounters (7 mobs + the boss) and the final dungeon (12!). I cut down on most of them to a more average 5 per dungeon. Altima is a simple game and those dungeons were really overstaying their welcome.
I also cut the cost of accessories and some other gear and consumables. Gear and builds aren't as fun if you never have the money for them! Plus with the cut to the endgame duration something had to change so I changed costs instead of income. I might have to change EXP payouts too to make sure the player hits the level cap at the right spot.
ENCOUNTERS:
There was a support mob that only did two thngs: Give AoE 10% HP regen... and AoE buff everybody's health to x2. I changed it so now he punches on odd turns, first even turn is AoE 10% regen, and second even is single target x2 max hp. He no longer makes a fight take forever based on RNG while still being a dumb annoying pest.
Also a boss that would every 4 turns heal himself and give a bunch of defensive buffs. I nixed half of the defensive ones for an offensive one.
BUGS:
One character had an AoE buff remove skill that... actually didn't do anything! It was incorrectly flagged to do damage while not doing any so the state change effect of the skill was dropped.
FEATURES:
I made a new animated battle background for the final boss fight! People who had Windows 3.1 to 98 machines might recognize the inspiration of it (spoilers it's the flying through space screen saver)

What are you thinking about right now?
Special shoutouts to Bungie and Activision for being shitstains. It isn't pay2win as Darth Vader like EA and Battlefront 2 but it is directly lying to players to control the flow of free lootboxes. Imagine an RPG, you grind and get EXP and gain levels. At level cap excess EXP goes into giving you free lootboxes that you can get more of with $real. However your free lootbox EXP gain is throttled, if you play the game / grind too much for that EXP the game will silently nerf your EXP gain while showing you the unnerfed and incorrect amount on the your screen.
And as a followup after being caught and turning off the exp throttling, they silently doubled the EXP required for your next free lootbox and only when caught did they come forward:

There's a laundry list of names to say fuck to if I take that approach. Plus the horrible accelerationist in me is glad Battlefront 2 turned out the way it did as the straw the break the camel's back to get some heat on games trying to use gambling to fuck players over.

I'm glad people more important than "random posters from the internet" (and more importantly might have some power to do something about it) are looking at lootboxes and going "wtf"
e: also fuck lootboxes

Underrated Animals

Snakes! Snakes are cool and good (although if I made a snake character I certainly wouldn't take the cheap speak tick of adding s's everywhere). A lack of hands and other appendages makes it tricky when Giga Satanhitler rolls into town and parks his Doomhummer in the local watering hole so Snake needs a reliable party made up of:

A capybara! Chill to the end, Capy knows to take it easy.

An armadillo! I mean every RPG needs the swole (and cute!) tank character right?
Jeroen has the bird side covered, crows are clever buggers.

I wonder if pewdiepie still checks in here?

Yeah, we’re not cool enough to get someone of his stature to be a member or a lurker around here. For that, you have to be of special calibre! (In which we are not.)
Thank fuck, don't want this place to get any worse

Anyone excited for Star Wars: The Last Jedi?
I'd rather watch Force Awakens or Rogue One over any of the prequels, but I'd also take watching paint dry over the lot of them. Hell I enjoyed the start of TFA but at some point it totally crashes, iirc around Han to the Electrified Death Star?) I'm just gonna stick to watching the original trilogy if I ever feel like watching anything Star Wars because anything beyond those three range from mediocre to burning trash heap.
