Bowser has stolen the Princess (*gasp*) and taken her to his MOON BASE....IN SPACE! However, Mario will have to make his way through the Block Plains, past the Pirate Cove, across the Ancient Desert, over the Jungle Gorge and up Pandora Mountain to get there!
This game is a collaborative effort between Solitayre, GreatRedSpirit, Hexatona and kentona.
A special thanks goes out to Deckiller, Max McGee and ShortStar for play testing (and Deckiller for a guest level!).
-Extract the 'Mario vs The Moon Base' folder into SMBX's Worlds folder.
-Start SMBX and select Start Game.
-From SMBX's menu go One/Two Player and select Mario vs the Moon Base from the scenarios list.

They should have made at least one Toad mention that Wart also has a Moon Base.

I also had issues with that level, but I just assumed it was because I was rusty. It did feel a lot longer than the rest of the world one levels though.
Okay. I tried again and thought I'd upload another video (not gameover'd yet either :D). So long as you keep your fireflower from the beginning it's not so bad at all tbh. (skip to 3:00 for the start of the first real stage)
I still suck at Mario.
(in my defense, I never played any Mario games except the first NES one and Mario 64 as a kid, and I played the NES one AFTER 64 :P)

I finished the game yesterday! Pretty excellent design, especially the Moon levels being some of the best made Mario levels I've ever seen. There's a lot of variety and the consistency is there. The difficulty can get mean sometimes but I guess that's better than being way too easy. Well done, gentlemen!

I haven't played your game yet nin8, but I can give it a shot. I've been pretty wrapped up in finishing off Moon Base the past few weeks.
(Also, this game isn't a sequel to Super RMN Bros or related to it in any way)

Got about halfway through Pirate's Cove today. Great game so far. Only a couple of problems so far:
The black background at the end of Blocklands doesn't reach the top of the stage.
The green spiny eggs in Grassy Knoll generate in the middle of the waterfall. Though I can see how that might be the best way to do it.

I really like the level design in this game.
It's not too easy or too hard.
I didn't get very far when I played on a keyboard so I played it with my gamepad and it's a lot easier (for me at least)
