I'm a very big fan of music of japanese role playing games for it has influenced me throughout my life since my early childhood. The day I saw Nobuo on the stage in front of me I decided I too will become a composer one day. It has been 9 years since that day.

You can't find my works anywhere right now, but that will change very soon this year as I will be contributing several original tracks for RMN Music Pack 2.

So are these infodump SNEWS something you guys want me to continue doing?

Yes please!

Personally I feel like the Snews make the site feel more alive, or at least if I haven't had time to be that involved in the site activity, the Snews offer a nice recap.

RMN MAY-JUNE 2015 PODCAST

Why do Liberty and Slash sound so unclear? To my understanding Liberty at least has a pretty decent mic. What sort of recording method are you using for these podcasts?
It's weird because they sound OK on the recording until the whole conversion in either camtasia or premiere with high mp3. Maybe I'll post a vanilla one later. We use Pamela, the paid one.

The audio quality suffers already when you render your song to Mp3, but when you upload it to the Soundcloud, the site re-renders it again, which affects the quality even further. If your file is already compressed when you upload it to soundcloud (Like Mp3s), it won't end up to very good results, at least!

If possible, try to render a WAV, or other uncompressed audio format version of the file and use that one for soundcloud.

Also, "get makerscore" and "free stuff" is your whole coverage of SoS? =P
Thanks for the shout out though.

1. What is your personal TODO list?

- I'm working on completing an actual proper game concept. On the side I am working out, studying japanese and as always, I'm still on my long quest to become a proper video game music composer.

2. How many other RM or dev communities are you active in?

- Sadly, my community activity has been lacking as of late

3. What is your current role at RMN?

- My role? Absent! I liked to organize composing events, but I always felt I needed a lot more practice under my own belt, so I've been avoiding spotlights for a while.

4. Are you satisfied with your current participation on RMN?

- No. I'll be making a comeback some day, though, but I actually need to lay down the ground work first.

5. Do you feel you are empowered to accomplish what you want to accomplish?

- Empowered? As in capable? I sure hope so, and I am working towards improving myself, but are we ever truly satisfied or complete?

6. What are you expecting from me?

- To keep on rockin' Seriously though, solidarity and compassion.

7. What aspects of RMN are you disatisfied with or concerned about? (functionality, trends, certain members, leadership, etc...)

- We need more strong role models encouraging positive interaction.

8. If you were running RMN, what would you do? Who would you recruit to help you?

- It's hard to say what I'd do different. I haven't really given the scheme that much of thought. I have a great appreciation for the amount of time and effort kentona has been putting in this site and community, however.

9. How long do you think you will be with RMN (in any capacity)?

- Always. I dream that if RMN ever ends up in any sort of recorded form of history, my name will be there. ...

10. Is there anything you wish to say?

- If you think you're boring and that you didn't find this post particularly interesting, then we're alike! Drop by to say hello!

Looking Back: Final Fantasy Endless Nova

FFEN was one of the first RM games I played, too. I remember it having pretty good pacing. Almost completed it on one session, so I could say it totally held my attention.

RPGMaker VXAce Nugget Crash Course Results (1/4)

Listening to the podcast and man I sound so awful, so crackly. I really need to get a better mic for next time than a cheap $20 headset.

Well, I had no problem understanding what you were saying, but Ness' sound quality was so low that for a non native-english speaker, (well, at least for me) it was really hard to make sense of what she was saying at times.

Regardless, good job all judges. I couldn't have personally gone through that amount of entries myself.

Calunio's surrealizations on RMN Summer Games 2011

This article was a nice read and got me more curious about the games & made me want to be more involved in the event (too bad it's almost over?) I've only played 3 of the contest games, but I think I'll have to check a few more now.

Congratulations to all the participants however!
