Imaginary audience

My audience is one that thinks the NES is the best gaming console of all time, Castlevania fans, and jRPG fans who dislike traditional jRPG protagonists.

This is a really nice title screen.

How to show numbers.

Annnnnnnnnnd this is why I stay away from CBSses. : )

The thing is, with how much effort some folks put into modifying the DBS, it probably would save them more time in the end to create a custom one. No need to copy pistachio a bunch of monster group events and tweak them for every encounter, because so many functions can't be called from a common event.

If you want a quick rundown on how to get a decent looking falling leaves effect using character sprite events, you can check the tutorial I put together: Falling Leaves

The entire map is fairly large and also has a day/night cycle, using the change tileset function. During the daytime, random encounters are disabled so you can more readily pick up leaves and backtrack to acquire keys.

What the hell did you/do you wanna be?

I want to be a Veritech fighter pilot when I grow up.

Your backdrops lack subtlety.

Looks pretty cool.

[Music] Music composer ready to work!

Those songs are really good and I'm surprised at how cheap you're willing to work for. oO

Encounters Mechanics

As a player I like the Chrono Trigger method. As a developer I like random encounters, because tweaking every fight is a huge time sink. Right now Necropolis uses a random encounter system where you have a chance to avoid the battle by tapping the cancel button.
