I just found where to add the download. xD; Sorry about that.

RPG maker wiki could use a update

Actually I think since here is a sum total of three active users over there, and many many more over here, we should make sure all the games that are listed on the wiki site are transferred over here for hosting to preserve them.

How many classics have we lost over the years as sites died and the games were consigned to the void? I know the great Aremen occasionally creates gamepages for such as part of the RPG Maker Classics Archive, perhaps there should be a petition to continue this effort.

Most of the games are translated by VGPerson, if they don't feel like uploading here then I'll talk to them.

Well, why not :o

Will do.

Free features on that blog of mine, post here!

Because of me trying to get my health back on track, my Tumblr, rpgpixelgames has slowed down immensely. I was trying to put more promotion out there, but I'm running out of ideas already.
If you're not aware, the tumblr is mostly for getting more obscured and unknown Rpgmaker games some attention. I was going to play test each game before featuring, but I can no longer do that with my health. I feel quite awful for falling behind with so many followers, and every new follower reminds me of that. OTL

The requirements are;
Your game must have a working download.
Somewhere, anywhere you state it's genre.
Six screenshots already taken.
No demos, sorry.
They don't have to be hosted here, but please have the above. I want to show everyone what the game is about, what it looks like, the style, if it's something they want to check out.
Simply link to the game if you have the above~ c:

If you press Ctrl-Enter you can switch from fullscreen mode to windowed mode, which will probably at least solve the brightness issue. Or maybe it's the F4 key.

It could be that the RMXP games you're downloading were all just packaged wrong? I know RMXP needs some .dll files installed to work on certain computers, especially in Windows 7 and 8, so developers who just cram their game into a .zip file will cause a lot of people to be unable to play them. At least one RMXP game needs to have been properly fully installed on your computer, not just unzipped, for you to be able to play them.

This might be slightly overboard, but try installing the trial version of RPG Maker XP itself. You can get it here from the official site. You don't actually have to enter a real name or email address, there's no confirmation or account creation or anything, so you can type in Guy Blokeman / fake@fake.fake or whatever.

That's the thing, one of them already was. Aaaand it had sound working which I had muted and unmuted a few times. It also stopped working which boggles me. |D;
I had a sense they were zipped wrongly, certainly not all of them, but I wasn't aware of the dll problem.
Pokemon Zeta, I already had working, it's made in RMXP with Pokemon estendjflscmels
Pokemon Melanite, did not, made with the same things as PKMN Zeta.

I moved the topic to the help section since it's not a site issue, but a personal PC one from the sounds of things.

Perhaps it's an issue with your sound card?

Thank you for moving it! I still have sound, and I can play other engine games just fine. RPG Maker XP games are a no go, 'though. The screen is also doing this thing where it doesn't think I'm trying to turn down it's blinding brightness WHEN I AM so I wouldn't be surprised, either. |D

It doesn't sound like it's a particular game. It's just a problem with her computer. (So this still is probably the wrong place to post, but oh well, close enough.)

I have no real advice. A lot of things could cause your sound to stop working, but there aren't many that can cause it to stop working just for RPG Maker games... I conclude your computer is possessed by one or more wraiths?

It's posessed by something, alright, I can confirm that for you.

This is a bug report right? Aaayyee got a bug....

So I've been trying to give Pokemon Essentaionalelelel games another go. For whatever reason a few months back 99.9% of them just outright refused to open when I clicked on the exe yet every last RPG XP game worked fine for me, so I said f it and moved on. I got one to work about two weeks back, been playing it while gathering others that are anywhere near an hour complete, and decided today let's try them out!
But let's not!
Un...RAR them? Started them up and none of them had sound. I thought well 7zip prolly fu up. After about five of them and NOT using 7 zip, I'm pretty sure it's not 7zips fault?? 8D;
Went back to the game I was playing before, and now it doesn't have sound. I opened my sound mixer to see if I somehow, just somehow muted it. Nope, it was turned all the way up. Sound just wasn't playing from the game that's been on my computer, already unzipped, and has had it's music and sound effects in the correct holders, working correctly before today, and now it's not.
To further my confusion I just tested out Dear Red, that was made on RPG Maker VX Ace, and I hear everything just fine.
Summing this up my cuntputer is no longer playing RPGMaker XP games sounds, new or already on my cuntputer.

Needing help resizing sprite base

author=Liberty
Which RPG maker are you using? If Ace, it's capable of supporting any size of sprite as long as the sprite sheet is set up correctly.

You either want to just use that sheet as is (that is, the 3x4 animation frame) and add a ! before the name or create a sheet of 8 instances of this sprite (set up like the typical sprite sheets in Ace, but with the dimensions for your sprites. That's two rows of four.)

That should work just fine~

Ah, I didn't see this before SnowOwl edited the size for me to 32x32 per sprite so now it works right! I'll remember that though, and do you have a sprite tutorial?
