FINAL FANTASY: RECORD KEEPER
I wanted to play this so bad on my comp. but I don't even have the requirements. :((
You know I swear some of those new character sprites were made a long time ago. I know I've seen some of them somewhere before.

Holy wall of text, Batman!
Maybe I'm adding another nuance to Persephone problem to irritate you further, but she's also not originally Greek. Ancient Greek spellings of her name are inconsistent. Alternate spellings include Phersephona, Proserpine, and Pherephatta. Also, there is some question of pronunciation of her name, and it seems that not even the Ancient Greeks that were supposed to worship her were quite sure how to pronounce her name.
Some of them were questionably pre-greek from various tribes besides her from what I've read. Some have reflections from Mesopotamia if I recall correctly. Though Persephone's name may not have been greek, but her story is forever melded into the greek mythos. Whoever she was originally before that I guess is unknown for right now. The Mesopotamians-Greeks-Romans-Norse, etc all are interconnected with each other in one form or fashion while the Mesopotamians being one of the oldest connections.
Speaking of Wall-o-Text. You all won't be bored for the moment! :P
The monster list from Myths
What are you thinking about right now?
Hey everyone. Just dropping in to say hello. So I've been further working on my greek-myth database. It seems I missed quite a bit of things. The number of Naiads known far outnumbers the Oceanids, and Nereids. It took quite a long time to find them all (that is currently public). I think I'm positive I find all the personifications this time around. Only thing that irritated me about this project was the contradicting stories (so I know where to place said figure). Sometimes I had a double or triple of the same character. To make matters worse that sometimes a character had the same name of another character, but totally different people.
Example being of a triple figure who is the same person:
Libyan-Athena
Rhodian-Athena (or Rhodes/Rhodos)
Olympian-Athena (Being the Canon One)
Also there has been some debate of Persephone being a major deity (because how she, and Demeter affect the Earth). Not sure if the debate has been settled on that. Also I came across some strange figures (some slightly hilarious like Momus who basically annoyed the Olympian Gods).
So far the only thing I'm falling behind on are the Demi-Gods (and it's hard to figure who is exactly a Demi-god because even if the offspring came from a Full-Deity, what happens if their offspring had offspring..does that make them demi-gods or does the Divinity vanish with the next generation)?
But so far this is what my Database looks:
Agricultural & Mysteries Deities-There is honestly not that many of them. The Mysteries Deities were somewhat difficult to figure out, but I manage to sort those out.
Celestial Deities-I had to dig around to find the last remaining figures like Astrape & Bronte who are lightning & Thunder goddesses. That surprised me because I thought it was just Zeus that wielded that.
Health Deities-This one was pretty easy, and straight to the point.
Cthonic Deities-Sometimes I had to figure out if a deity actually leaned toward being Rustic or Cthonic as they can be both. Like the case with Cthonic-Hermes, but he was more heavenly in his more common tradition.
Major Deities-In different traditions the Olympian Twelve was rotated around. Some of them were majorly established, but sometimes it included Heracles, Persephone, Hestia (who got bumped out by Dionysus), Hebe, Pan, Asclepius, and Hades. I only threw in Hades, Persephone, and Hestia as their influence in the mortal world made more sense to me even though that would go beyond twelve. I threw the other guys in their other respective sections.
Personified Daimones(Lower Ranked Deities)-Good grief there was so many of them. Sometimes the databases online I was looking at would not list them properly as some of them barely have anything on them. One example would be Chrysus who was the spirit of Gold..and really that was it. You have to go to great lengths to find these types. Also sometimes there are personifications that could be of higher rank like Thanatos (he was sometimes a personification or an Deity, and created a bit of a headache to categorize a few of them). Fun fact=Eris the goddess of Strife has a twin sister who is her opposite, but she is also called the goddess of Strife for another reason. Good/Evil Twin Sisters!
The Titans-Everyone knows the more common knowledge ones, but there also others that are barely known in the public. Examples being Anchiale, Pallas, Perses, and Asia as some examples.
Phrygian & Thracian Deities-These were more specific, and I have to thank Theoi for pointing that out.
Sea Deities-There is actually not that many of them unless you include the Demi-God Sea Nymphs.
Rustic Deities-This one gave me some trouble, but I think I've found all of them. The River gods are the most numerous rustic deities.
Primordial Deities-This was actually pretty easy to find stuff on. The only trouble I had was with Eros, but I found out there was actually two of them. Eros the Elder who was part of the Primordial Era, and Eros the Younger who was part of the Olympian Era. I came across one more strange primal deity called Tekmor that was buried in information when I thought I was finished with it recently.
The Nymphs-I chose to separate the Nymphs from the other sections as they are incredibly numerous, and took me about a few weeks to get it all down. The Naiads by far are the most numerous in Greek Mythology..my properties tab is counting them 248, but give or take. Besides that this is what I found on them:
Celestial Nymphs-
The Aurae (Wind Nymphs)
The Coronides (Star Nymphs)
The Heliades (Sun Nymphs of Helios)
The Hyades (Star Nymphs)
The Menae (Lunar Nymphs)
The Nephelai (Oceanid Cloud Nymphs)
The Pleiades (Star Nymphs)
There is specific ones like Maira who was a Nymph of the Dog-Star Sirius, etc.
Meadow Nymphs-
The Anthousai (Nymphs of Flowers)
The Epimeliads (Protectors of Sheep, and Apple Trees)
The Leimonides (Nymphs of Flowery Water Meadows)
Sea Nymphs-
The Haliads (Nymphs of the Sea)
The Nereids (Nymphs of the Aegean Sea)
Forest Nymphs-
The Caryatids (Protector of Nut Trees)
The Daphniae (Nymphs of Laurel Trees, and stems from the myth of Daphne)
The Dryads (Tree Nymphs)
The Hamadryads (Greater Tree Nymphs, and their trees were very specific)
The Meliae (Nymphs of the Ash Trees, and sometimes Honey..there is a confusing story with this one)
The Oreads (Mountain Nymphs)
The Auloniads (Nymphs of Mountain Pastures & Vales)
The Alseids (Nymphs of Glens & Groves)
The Napaeae (Nymphs of Glena inside Mountain Valleys)
There are other types of Forest nymphs Theoi shared, but they seem to be more like titles I think.
Freshwater Nymphs-
The Naiads (Nymphs of various Freshwater sources)
Subtypes:
Potamides (Rivers & Streams)
Pegaeae (Springs)
Crinaeae (Fountains & Wells)
Limnatides (Lakes)
Eleionomae (Marshes)
Pegasides (Wells & Brooks...this was a strange one)
The Oceanids (Freshwater Nymphs of Oceanus)
-Don't let the name fool you. These were not Ocean Nymphs, but in fact Nymphs that also lived in fresh water.
Other types of Nymphs-
The Maenads (Some Nymphs that belonged to Dionysus)
The Danaids (A bunch of very evil nymphs except one who did bad things to their husbands on their wedding night)
There was also Nymphs that really didn't fit anywhere. So I just put them in other Nymphs.
-----------
Finally there was the Amazons, Demigods, and other deities. Of course the Monsters of Greek Myth. The biggest highlights for me in greek monsters is that it turns out there was Proto-Lycanthropes (Werewolves) to my very surprise, but however there was not much on them, and Troglodytes also came from the Greek Myths too. I always thought Werewolves came later in Folklore, so it is interesting there is a ancient connection.
Besides my greek database, I have other ones, but they're not fully finished yet (I need to recheck a few of them in the future). If anyone needs monster ideas or even gods for your story (for combat purposes or story purposes) I got them on hand. I might post up a monster list on the other board soon. I will try to commit to it.

4kids probably would have done better if they stuck with anime that was for that specific demographic. Stuff like Sonic, Digimon, etc.
Then again
I've read about 4kids editing. It seems even the most mild of shows were not safe lol.

What? Just because you do nothing useful around here, cause animosity just by entering the room, and never make any games doesn't automatically make you a mod, you know.
It's sad when it's the truth hahahahaha. My presence is enough to make someone go mad. I'am making a game though! Just not in RMN style. :P

Well. After reading this, I think I'll change my mind about localization. I didn't know it got that BAD. I think the only reason they even bother to bring anime to the west after seeing this because they're desperate for profit, and will do anything to get much of the demographic as possible, and that even means butchering a anime to do it.
I hope that stuff didn't actually go into the DVD collections.
