I'm bored, can we insult each other for a while?

MORE MODDING FOR THE MOD GOD.

Vagrant Odyssey

Oh sweet. Seems more and more lately that corridor gaming of the 90s is making it's way back again. I like those types of games sometimes. :)

Final Fantasy Blackmoon Prophecy II

I can tell this game is going to be amazing.

That's it. No more of this. Blocked. I didn't choose to engage another conversation with you since I wanted to respect that, but you had to go nuts with what I said. No more, I don't need any more stress right now. I have better things to do than watch a shitstorm happen again. I already agreed I was wrong on some things, but all I was saying that it may not always be the case for a couple of studios which is my opinion. No one has to agree with me on it. I never had to block anyone on RMN for years until now, but you kept pushing it.

For localization, I agree some text may not make sense for another country, and probably could have some free liberties as long it conveys the same message. I think Working Designs Studio was pretty famous or infamous for this depending how you feel about them back in the day. Like there might be a actual Japanese drink in the game, but people may not get it, and so it is changed to something equivalent in another country. I'm on the right track correct? Though I can't say that for every Japanese game since they kept some stuff like that intact in some localization, I guess it depends on the studio.

There's only so much pressure that ... a big company can withstand. If you were at the receiving end of that kind of pressure you'd probably understand.

I admit the social coercion never stopped some game companies from doing what they wanted, but there is always those few that make me scratch my head whether it is just about money or another reason. And speaking of youtube stuff. I always wanted to do a video game review of import games as a way to make a side-living like some of the youtube guys that do similar stuff. I definitely want unknown Japanese games to make more of a presence, and a chance for interest to build back up.

I understand if it has to be marketable, but isn't the state of mainstream gaming today gotten dull because of that? To be fair though there were companies that took chances with games like Mass Effect, and Metro that experimented (Ubisoft is sort of trying to mix things up with Assassin's Creed which is good). I think game companies need to branch out like they did back in the day, but not settle for safe mediocrity unless there is a very good reason.

Idk, I might be being unfair considering the economy with the way it is now. I also wonder sometimes if when a company gets too big that it becomes a little unstable to manage, and why I'm slowly accepting the idea of digital gaming if it means they can get back to their golden days.

I fell in love with that recent article about Tanuki dogs, incredibly adorable.

Edit:
I didn't realize Japan actually had a female wrestling division. Learned something new today. I think the character is based on female Japanese wrestling considering the character is from Japan.

Here's a third opinion for you guys. I thought the butt slapping was crass and I'm glad it's toned down, but I wish they'd actually remove it, and possibly even remove or redesign the entire character. I'm not offended by it or anything like that, I just think she's gross and ugly and spandexy, and I don't see why anyone would actually want that in their game.

It's like when your aunt tries to be sexy. Just. Please stop.

Might find this surprising. I didn't like that character either. Badly designed, etc.
