Sounds just like the case I heard about Chrono Trigger Crimson Echoes. I mean there's Flames of Eternity it's cloned Successor, and nothing has happened to him yet.

Maybe I've become a bit cynical due to me being around since don's 95 translation but of all the great game software enterbrain/Ascii has created people act as if rm2k is their magnum opus. Id rather see an English release of fighter maker or shooter maker than another rehash of rm2k.
Isn't RM-95 supposedly lost?

Though, if I must be honest, classic games are all I seem to play, anymore. Though, it's also true that I'm a HUGE M&M fan...
...particularly when it comes to the Xeen games.
What baffles me they had to do a 360 after Might and Magic VI, I thought the style in VI was pretty realistic for it's time considering that I think they used real faces, and painted over it (not sure), and then they decided to do just 3D model faces.

but I do have a question about the RTP:
World all older 2000/2003 games will have to be dependent on the old versions of the engine? Let's say I wanted to download the recent RTP, but does this mean the old game in question will be corrupted?
