I want a protagonist who is a jaded, hard-as-nails soldier who has become disillusioned with what he has had to give up in the service of king and country.
Sounds like what the original plans were for FFXII(Basch as the main character)...but then Square thought that gamers were p**sies and felt that we would only identify with someone that personified the term.

The only things they should keep from FF13 is the engine and quick interface. They should toss everything else about it. The storytelling, the gameplay mechanics, etc.
Basically I am saying they should put fun back into it.

FF12...Occuria...though I wouldn't expect anyone to even know that. That would require people paying attention during the game. I didn't even know too much about them until reading about the game online, after beating it. Basically, they're the ones behind everything in the game.
FF13...F'alcie. Pretty much the same thing with minor differences here and there.

i mean that hes the weakest because his stats are so much lower. my Sazh is further up on the crystarium than anyone else and he has like 600 Str and 500 Mag, wheras Hope and Vanille both have like 400 Str and 1200 Mag
That is true...because his true role in the party is to be the killer of turtles...provided, of course, that players hadn't already committed suicide.
