Hello! People call me Kousuke.. or whatever they want. Anyway, I'm a teenager who's dream is to become a game developer since he first touched a controller and now, I'm trying to make that happen. Don't be shy to talk to me about anything, give/ask suggestions and critiques on games or other stuff. I'd be very happy to be of assistance to anyone. Peash out!

Anybody got tips on how to stay focused on making projects?
author=SoozThis is very effective but if it still doesn't work and you want to take it to the next level, create a schedule. For example, if you want to work on the game for say 6 hours a day from 12:00PM to 6:00PM, write it somewhere you can easily see. The wall beside your computer, a whiteboard, your desktop even.
Deadlines. After enough of that, it eventually becomes habit.
If you still can't manage... IDK, maybe get screened for ADD or something? That might be a thing.
What it does is that it constantly reminds you that you have to work and when it's time to work, you get more focused because it's the only time you would work on the game, instead of it getting spread out due to getting distracted.
It works for me.
[RMMV] Any Tutorial for Quixos/Quasi's QSprite and QSprite Editor?
I can't seem to get it working. My goal for this is to have characters surpassing the normal 3 frames animation limit, and this is one of the few ways I've found. I can't seem to get it to work though, my character just stays at the 1st frame in whatever movement I do.

author=FluffexStudiosI'm having the same problem as you did when your team broke up. Any advice on how to keep team morale high? Right now there's just 2 of us left, the original team was 4.

What are you thinking about? (game development edition)
Currently, it's about time spent working on an RPG Maker project as an aspiring developer. I feel like my time would be better spent learning how to program an actual game, instead of being better at eventing which doesn't translate to other engines.
But the thing is, I love RPG games. If I'm gonna make a game, I'm not satisfied with just having a simple mechanic, or making a game that's fun for a few minutes, gets put down, played again over and over. That might sound good because you give players a large amount of play time but those kinds of games doesn't stick with the player, and I don't want to make that. I love games that makes the player say "That was epic. I will never forget this experience." After finishing a title.
Right now I'm wondering if the upcoming year I'm about to spend on this project I'm working on will be worth it. As long as I enjoyed it, it doesn't matter right? Wrong. I want to make it big, and if I just keep having fun without producing results I'm not gonna make that dream possible.
For some reason though, I want to keep working on this project, I can't stop. If it's a success or not, well I'll know once it's done.
For the good news, I made a huge amount of progress today! I'm really happy about that and I'll sleep satisfied.

Whatchu Workin' On? Tell us!
I just finished working on 3 maps! For some reason I worked really fast today. Usually each map takes about 4-8 hours for me to complete, depending on complexity. Today 3 maps took me 6 hours, probably even less since I did some random things, and took breaks.

@Xenomic Feels kinda, empty... But I guess that's a good thing if you're going for a wasteland feel right?
I feel like you can still improve it though, I just can't pinpoint what's need for it to be better. To be honest I have the same problem on my maps. Good work though!

Revenant Gods - Ragnarok Chronicle
I can't believe I've never heard of this before checking out the Misao Awards... This may actually be the best RPG Maker game I've seen so far. Any news on possible release dates?

@Momeka I've had troubles with the floor boards before since I think I used MV's original RTP to make that.(Just edited it a lot) But I agree. I've used Corpse Party's PSP version as a reference and I noticed how they did not only used the floor board in your example but they also added broken boards to add variation. I'll do as you say but I think if I'm gonna work on it, I'll update the rest of the tilesets as well so I'll just put it in my work list. For now it'll hold as a placeholder.
The chain well, I've been really lazy about that. I just drew it for the sake of having something on the wall, do you know any tilesets that might have some sort of chain in them that I can edit and use? Of course with license that allows it. If not then it's all good, I'll look for them soon. (I also did the same for the bodies, they're just placeholders for now. I just edited the base of my sprites and splattered them with red using the brush tool)
As for the perspective, do you think it's better to fix the perspective of the large table, or get the other tables to match it's perspective? When I get the other tables to match the big one they end up looking really weird in game, but if I fix the big table to match the smaller ones it loses it's feel? I don't know how to explain it but it loses the "Ooomph!" factor.
Oh and thanks for redirecting me to the mapping thread, I'll post there from now on.
