Event to trigger another event

Hey,

Does the self switch get trigered when the event is off screen? It may be that this doesn't work due to VX ace's tendency to disregard offscreen (by 2 tiles I believe) events to minimize lag.
Probably the easiest way to test this would be to have another event set somewhere on the map that is triggered with a switch once the move route is compleden and input the text 'n stuff there.

Thanks for playing. And wow, it's weird that you're having that issue. While testing I always tend to use WASD controls and that has never caused something like that to happen. A quick tets with arrow keys also didn't give me that problem, intriguing... Do you use a particularly funky setup for playing?

Cool to hear that there was no lag, that's been a bit of a concern for me from the start. The first map is a bit crowded with event with the whole storyline being set up and all so I can probably go a bit more all out with the other stuff on future maps. Also 4 bullets is a little on the low side I should probably signifcantly increase the starting ammo.

From the looks of it that sheet was intended to be use with RPGmaker XP which had a different way of formatting it's tilesets. If it doesn't fit on one sheet you can alway try to fit the remainder on another sheet.

Did you change it's size to 512x512?

VX ace requires this size for individual tileset. It's all explained here.

Workin' on turning my Touhou fangame into something more original.
Hey this looks pretty neat. Was it hard to make this type of game in VX Ace?
Depends on what you're good at/into, it takes a lot of small changes to existing scripts and coming up with ways to creatively change variables, which is what I find to be the most enjoying thing to do in rpg maker.

In hindsight I'm not sure if I would pick rpgmaker to make this kind of game, but the engine is pretty much as flexibe as you want it to be. And it has a relatively gentle learing curve.
