The site owner spouts white supremacist garbage and the mods react to my concerns by laughing at me. I'm not going to put up with a toxic community like this anymore.

Games you hate or dislike?
It's the kind of game where it's fans are considered 'rabid' simply because they like the thing.
@WinglessOne: Feel free to kill them all if you prefer doing that - just stick around in the area to make sure they're all dead.

Single Area RPG
Shrink High takes place in Yabaize High for about 95% of the gameplay. There's a few quests at the beginning and the end of the game where you have to go to Mt. Ura, but they tend to be short outside of the final dungeon. Given what happens around the 5-6 hour mark (hint: It's very, very obvious), it is quite understandable how it works out.
The appeal of JRPG's
Well, FF7 is, in my opinion, the most well-known JRPG there is. However, when people think of a typical JRPG, it'll look more like the Dragon Quest series.
The appeal of JRPG's
The primary distinction between JRPGs and WRPGs is that you're given a character with a specific backstory and character development in a JRPG, while a WRPG lets you craft your own character that rarely has any background relevant to the plot. As such, the narrative of a JRPG is usually more focused on the protagonists while a WRPG has more depth in the world and major NPCs.
Also, you can't say that JRPGs typically start you in a rural village and make you whack slimes if its most iconic entry starts you in a cyberpunk dystopia where you fight trained soldiers and blow up a power plant.

[Poll] What RPGs should get represented in a future Smash Bros.
Nintendo already made a Crossover with Dragon Quest in Fortune Street. Furthermore, since the series also belongs to Square Enix, making it happen shouldn't be too hard. My idea would be Ryu (first game protag) as playable character and a Slime hat (blue, red and green) for Mii Fighters.
Also, they should bring some Level 5 characters already! D=

Earth Element = Physical Damage
Chinese Elements do include Earth - it's Air that's absent (anything Air-related is in the Wood element, because swaying leaves etc.). Chart looks like this:

Earth Element = Physical Damage
My own interpretation is that Earth Element involving groundshaking and tremors, therefore making heavy enemies weak to it for being more easily unbalanced and immobilized by making them fall. And as Liberty already alluded, it tends to be the healing element of the four in the cases where it isn't Water.
Speaking of which, in the western philosophical elements, Earth beats Water and loses to Air, while in the eastern cycle, it's strong against Fire and Water and loses to Wood and Metal.
Gastropods can quickly be killed with the application of Salt, so you could make those weak to Earth as well. The only element where I can't really think of something that's naturally weak to it is Darkness.

[RM2K3] Magic that lower or increase an atribute
I'd love to have this kind of stat-scaled attribute buffing/healing/damaging rather than the buff system that's been in place since VX.
Keep in mind that while there is a power rating in the buff/debuff skills, they diminish in effectiveness when used repeatedly on a target. I don't know the exact rate, though.

Starlancer Six Review
To be fair, making a magical girl show as good as Sailor moon is a very tall order. It's not only well animated and has deep characters, it's probably the only anime I know that handles romance in a sensible, mature way (although it's a dreamy fairy tale kind of romance for the most part). And despite the short sailor fukus and the fact that it's anime, panty shots are incredibly rare (and interestingly exclusive to Sailor Mars).
