LIGHTNINGLORD2'S PROFILE

The site owner spouts white supremacist garbage and the mods react to my concerns by laughing at me. I'm not going to put up with a toxic community like this anymore.

British English speakers of RMN, I need your help! How do I write a 'British' speaking character?

Not british nationality here, but I know a few things you can abide to:

-Use spelling and vocabulary from British English rather than US English (Armor->Armour, Chips->Crisps, French Fries->Chips, Gray->Grey etc.)

-Abide to cultural differences in Europe over America (such as using the metric system).

I think the Sherlock Holmes novels might be a good read for british mannerisms.

Another Final Fantasy Fan-Game?

author=riderx40
Actually it more like FF3 class system but i tried to balance them so that the player switch between them constently. The Ninja is no longer over powered, scholar is now a toolist,Barf is the only one who can regen your MP slowly by singing and he uses guitar.(because why not)

Then why do you have classes like the Knight and Magus, who are described as "Like class X, but better"?

Another Final Fantasy Fan-Game?

So you have a class change ala FF1 that your class upgrades to a stronger one mid-game? Otherwise, I couldn't justify having stronger versions of existing classes.

Also, another game that says play it or lose it in the healer class.

Unlocking new weapons as you level up?

http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=qJQxcTdu This script lets you add a permanent state to an actor while a certain skill is learned. Make the state have 0 priority and no icon so it's invisible and give it weapon proficiency as a trait.

Removing Dead Ends in Games

Well, the exploration slightly makes up for the lack of challenge, but if a Final Fantasy game has neither...

What are you thinking about? (game development edition)

I found a really simple to use enemy capture system, now I want to make an RPG based around it >_>

A battle system idea

You can make it so armor and the defense stat provide more HP rather than lower the damage taken.

[General Design] What inspired your game?

Lords of Xulima brought me back into it with the thought of "if something that bad can be critically acclaimed, even I can make a game people like"

The Impossible Games Thread

There's a version of Action 52 for the Sega Genesis that's notably improved, but still rather bland. A few games were changed, too (of course, the game with the cool title song, Cheetahmen, is still there).

Help Me Find an Old Game!

Can we turn this into a general "Find old games" topic?

I have one myself - it was a C64 game where you play a wizard that plants & protects trees, which you have to use in a platforming level afterwards.
