What are you thinking about? (game development edition)
Wav files have the advantage of allowing the fastest loading times as there is no special programming needed to run them - however, they do have the largest file size of all as they're completely uncompressed. I think the same applies to .bmp for graphics.
New to VX ACE!
Do you have plans regarding player interaction? I think it's this one element that makes telling stories in games that much different from a written story, a movie, a stageplay and so on. I did play a few games with a legitimately interesting story that I couldn't finish due to unbearable gameplay (and rarely, vice versa).
Arbitrary damage cap
This gets especially ridiculous in later Final Fantasy titles - capping damage at 9999 can be alright if the boss has ~250k HP - it just means you have to fight a while and such. But having a boss that's >50M HP, full healing after being brought down low enough and reducing the damage cap to 6999 is insane.
FF7 remake. It's a thing.
If anyone cares, I made a general Final Fantasy topic here. I feel it would be a more suitable place for discussing FF things outside of remake speculations, new info and remembering things from FF7.
Boss Battles and Misc.
I'm not sure if I should already pitch a game submission, because I don't have anything worth a screenshot yet. But I wouldn't mind having some extra people look over my design decisions. The gameplay systems are mostly finalized, I just need to make the equipment items, the final class, plan the item distribution and, most importantly, make bosses (which I wouldn't want to do until I have all player options done).
Writer in need of a game to write!
Writers do not always get their ideas into the media - only if they also produce it. Many times in a project, people with money hire writers and tell them what kind of story they envisioned and make them write dialogues and actions consistent to the producer's narrative.

Boss Battles and Misc.
Another boss designer? Funny how I recently paused a project so I could turn to a different one that's all about boss fights. Not to mention that LockeZ here on this forum made a topic about designing boss fights because he's so passionate about it. We should make a boss design group.
General Final Fantasy Topic
With the remakes, remasters and whatnot on the way, people began talking more about Final Fantasy. Occasionally, the topic trails off into different FFs and people's preferences, so I'm making this topic here so people can freely discuss any Final Fantasy game, spinoff and possibly other FF-related media.
