Well, I'm an old guy, 71(crap,there goes another year:( who loves RPGs, especially Action, Adven., ever since my older brother got me hooked on The Legend of Zelda.
Would LOVE to create a game of my own. Even purchased the ACE program, but got frustrated when I could not even make a decent town river :(
But that's ok, I still love these independent games..

It's OK Rose, I like my warriors to be bigger than the monsters.....makes me feel superior :) Maybe just a tad smaller so the tops of their heads are not chopped off.

I previously asked if anyone wanted to RP, and now I ask, would anyone want to RP set in the RMNverse? No prior knowledge of the RMNverse would be necessary, but for the uninformed; it is a ficticious futuristic setting where pretty much anything goes. We've had many forum events in the 'verse, but that doesn't mean anything is concrete. In fact, we could set it up on a yet-to-be mentioned planet or space station so that it wouldn't impede with other RMNverse storylines (such as Space Ninja or Battledome)
I'm thinking, "If my computer runs this much better after just installing a new power supply, what else can I install to beef her up?"
Do you have slots for memory??? That helped me in the past.

I got a new computer and none of the RMK2000 games would open. I kept getting error messages. Mostly about dll files.
I was having trouble with Dego so I called Dell tech support (since I was still under contract :). He determined I was using the newest version of DirectX and needed a file from an older version so he downloaded the missing file, I think version 7 and now I can play the RMK2 games.
If your getting the dll error, try going to Microsoft.com and get the dll file from them. The other sites on the internet who say they can fix dll missing files want you to download their programs and that costs money.

I downloaded the game and could not play as it said my computer was missing d3dx9_31dll
After going crazy trying to find it, I finally called Dell tech support since my original support contract is still in effect. The tech found the dll file and downloaded it, but he still got the same dll error. He worked on the problem and found I had the newest Directx program and this game works with the Directx from I believe version 7. After downloading the correct Directx version the game now works but I have a keyboard and not a controller so having troubling figuring out the correct keys to create my character and get on the monster killing field :( ain't I the smart one...... :)

So, I downloaded Dego, an action/rpg game made with the Custom engine.
When I tried to play the game I got the error message "can't open game, d3dx9_31.dll not on your computer."
Well, I had this error several times in the past, just a different dll#. So as usual, I went to the internet hunting for that dll file. Every site willing to give me that dll, also wanted to download a CRAP load of other software.
I finally called Dell tech support as I purchased a new XPS 8700 back in Feb.2014 and still had a support contract.
Gave the tech permission to work remotely on my computer. He finally downloaded the correct dll file but when opening the game Dego, he kept getting the same error, and of course the game refused to work :( I also got this error on many of the RM2K games.
After working on my computer for some time he finally found out that I have a current version of Directx that runs the games, but it needed a file from an older version of Directx. Every so often you might get a message that your Directx version is obsolete and you will download the current version.
Well, the game now works, yippeeeeee for me :).
Mostly, I made this post because I have Windows 8.1 and after having trouble with a few games, I was told that some games just don't work with Windows 8.1 Now I find it may not be Windows but the Directx program :)

"Ugly" people need jobs, too. But, you know what's truly ugly? The people behind the whole thing that make the rest of us feel like shit. Can you understand how it feels to be a man of average weight attracted to plus-sized women while everyone else instinctively goes "bleh"? Then again, in our society, being a woman means not being allowed to be human. We all get gas sometimes; why not tastefully belch once in a while without having to worry about being "unladylike".
We all wake up exactly the same way; our hair a mess and our eyes crusted with mucus. We all slump out of bed and drag ourselves to the restroom to void our bowels/bladders before pawing at breakfast. We all get that need to scratch our backs/armpits/faces once in a while. Why not be real about it?
