I’m glad to see the game got updated, I had a lot of fun playing through it and was lucky that I did the cat sidequest and avoided all of the missing transfers due to that. Maybe now with the game being fixed I should get back to it and beat it (I stopped playing at the Ice Queen because she’s too strong for a level 21 party, gotta get back to grinding it seems)
I was able to beat the Ice Queen at level 21, and also the enemy that I found later that is able to hit (and kill) up to two party members out of three. The secret was using the Lyre of Resurrection since only Firion (at lvl 21) was able to survive the Crystal Queel Fury attack, so keeping him at fill health and resurrecting the others between attacks was the key. Same for the next boss battle (with the difference that with its double attacks not always was Firion the one that survived). Unfortunately now I'm stuck at the boss in the haunted mansion... time to grindddd!

Did you visit the shop, next to the mansion, before entering it? If you didn't... well, good luck!

Now that I managed (with help) to get back the source file, I can finally tweak around the game, improve some of the conversations, fix plot holes, balance enemies and stats, events and bugs. The Ice Queen is one of the toughest fights in the game, but you should be able to beat her with minor grinding, especially if you managed to get the Hazer Fang early in the game. Glad to see you've had a good time so far, and hope you enjoy the rest of the game!

Tested using old save files. You're good to go.

Thank you very much for playing my game, and giving it a very detailed and thoughtful review!

I understand that there are still some bugs that need to be fixed, especially one that has hunted me for almost 10 years (a single spot in the first forest map maze, where you can clip through a wall), but unfortunately, the RPG Maker game edit file is long gone.
Hello! Well it was a nice adventure...

As for the part where you were stuck, that was my bad for not being clear on telling the player where to go (as Egoraptor said, that's conveyance), you're supposed to go back to the city and talk to a NPC, in order to get the ticket. You've completed two of the six chapters of the game, so there's still a lot of gameplay left (It takes about 5-6 hours to beat the game).

I know, the problem is, as I wrote apparently no way to go back to the village, since one exit does not work and the other leads to a woman that asks for a ticket and I found no place that sells them.

Basically when you arrive at the pyramid you are stuck there with no way to go back (the access is "one way", as the map as only one exits that leads to the woman that asks for a ticket) to the village not even to restock, so I could not buy the ticket and go on with a story, and that's a pity.

I dunno if the new download fixes this issue, otherwise the party is stuck at the pyramid.

The mana system isn't used by the characters you've unlocked so far. I'll leave it at that.

Yes, I expected this but I wasn't sure of course!

That's odd, I've replayed the game not long ago, and everything worked as intended. I'll look into it, at least now that I know that it can be fixed. I'm pretty sure you can go back to the village, but then again, I could be wrong.
Uhmmmmmm tell me if it works or I missed something... I wasn't able to progress and hey, it was really a pity!

Hey! Just found out about your issue. There's a quest at the first village (the Catgirl quest) that unlocks a switch, which summons a cat at the end of each dungeon. The cat allows you to teleport out of the dungeons, so you don't have to walk all the way out (which gets annoying with all the random encounters). Since there's no real reason not to do that quest, I've always done it and used the cat to teleport. The cat at the end of the pyramid dungeon teleports you back to the city, which made me 100% forget about actually making a warp at the edge of the map. I'll take the L for this, sorry about that.
Good news, though! The game's fixed, and I'll update the download link ASAP. Feel free to keep playing (I hope your old save files still work), and let me know if you find any other bugs. Good luck!

What are you supposed to do at Warlord's Castle 2F puzzle? The one with the yellow -black grid where if you step on any stone slab you are sent to the red carpet at the center? I got so far and I'm really stuck on this one, I know this game was made years ago but if you could enlighten me on how to solve that you would do me a solid!
Hey! You're supposed to find the correct slab that teleports you to the next room. There's no puzzle, really, it's just trial and error.

Tip 1: The correct slab is not a shuriken slab.

----SPOILER!----

The correct slab is located at the northeastern part of the room. The upper-left tile of the big slab to the right.
I see, thank you for the answer, I have finally beaten the game! As a Brazilian myself that ending was very funny and caught me off guard, but overall the hardest fight for me was the Grim Reaper boss, a lot of rng in that one!

Damn, now I feel embarrassed about someone actually reading through the cringy inside jokes between me and my friends. The last boss is one of my friends, tbh.
Thank you for enduring all the grind and beating the game!

Tyrant's Lair Review

You made fair points, and I'm actually surprised you rated this game so high. I can assure you that no glitch was intentional, and the item attack increase was just me trying to balance the game, considering I failed at understanding how the defense attribute works (I believe Quondam Warriors also had 0 defense, but HP+ items).
But yeah, the game was just me learning from scratch how to use RPG Maker, or create games as a whole. I made it very grind-heavy, which I fortunately fixed in the next game.
Fun facts! The Death battle was actually directly inspired by the Grim Reaper boss from an old flash game, Sinjid Battle Arena. I loved the concept, and tried to use it in the game, which kinda worked. The hut in the first town is actually only accessible after defeating the last boss. Should've made it clearer, my bad.
Anyhow, I'm currently working on acquiring RPG Maker VX Ace once again, and when I do, I'm going to look into the issue in Quondam Warriors. I'll keep you updated. Thank you for another great and detailed review!

Loowiz, for editing your game you can do it even if your game was encrypted. This decryptor for example is really easy to use (it's in english, you just have to make it extract all files if your game is encrypted, and it can also create the edit file.

Oh, I didn't know that. Thank you very much!
