It's pretty easy to do seeing how it's drawing everything in 3D anyway to begin with. Well, getting it to look quite right will be the hard part.

I trust the addition of scaling effects is something that is on the backburner for now. It doesn't seem too important to me at this point.

Please don't, people need to learn about the importance of choosing serif vs sans serif and how to choose fonts with "decent" auto-kerning. i say decent because the only proper form is when you manually manage kerning yourself
