Update: Peek at the New Features. Suggestions Welcome!
Well, unfortunately-- there is a pretty major bug in the game. This has forced me to take the download down temporarily while I fix the problem.
UGH! At this point, I hate that demo-- I wish the full version was done already, then I wouldn't have to fiddle around with the demo anymore. Well needless to say this definitely delays things for me. I will release "g" once I fix the problem, I won't recommend playing the game past the World Tournament, because it could permanently screw your save file. All I know at this point is that I will work on the solution to this problem and at the latest it will be rereleased sometime next week.
Sorry :(.

Update: Friday 10th September - Friday 24th September...
Lol, I know what you mean. There are a few that I've found myself; but the most problems I generally find are relating to the runtime/executable. That's just my experience though. Don't get my wrong, I love 2k3...but eh sometimes-- it's just frustrating.

Sounds reasonable to me good luck with the game. I can tell you put a pretty good amount of work into it, the DBS looks pretty cool. Did you use the first slot in the database for the main character? If so, then it's a good thing I left that slot empty in my game.

Ahh, very nice-- that looks much better; at least in my opinion. Now there is actual sentences, lol.

He's being tricky, if you notice the way he wrote the text; he's referring to the way that there is only 2 -3 words per line. I agree with him though, it looks kind of bad. Also, the picture kind of blocks the name a bit,. The picture looks great though, even if it is really large.
The Problem with Reviews (and a new suggestion!)
I really like the ideas you've presented Kentona.
I think the problem with reviews is that: while there is more quality control, this kind of alienates people who are just "casual" members. Some people don't want to get fully invested in the website. The effect of this is that people either want to "join and participate fully" or "go somewhere else". While they certainly can go with the middle ground and just write a comment, their voice might go unheard (the game creator ignores you) and this makes it pointless (to those people). I think there should be reviews that are less important, but quicker to apply. I love the idea about adding the "page views" and "subscribers" amount to the game page as well.
BTW: I'm not just pulling rabbits out of a hat, I asked several friends to participate in the community, but they basically mentioned what I just detailed and they felt it was too "involved". Now, you can take that however you want, perhaps even saying: "well then we don't want them here anyway". Honestly though, that would be childish and in poor taste-- the goal of the website is to promote the games to everyone, not just people who want to become highly involved. The website should promote more players to join, not just creators. This would probably add more reviews in general too, since players would (in theory) have more time to write reviews, than game creators would.
In summary: I think we need a more"casual" reviewing styles for the players, and more ways to let the player judge whether they think it's worth their time. So, basically I agree with all points on Kentona. I was just hoping to help him drive the point with my example.
Idea: I believe that having a field which asks what brought the game to the players attention, might be very helpful for the other potential gamers AND the game creator/developer.

The easiest answer I could give you is: "I have no clue". However, that's not enough for me, so let's examine the problem.
Well, the "Internet Explorer" is tied to the "Windows Explorer" (try typing in a website in your windows explorer and you'll see), and that is usually associated with looking for files. Since we know that RPG Maker doesn't function on the Mac, it's safe to assume that it uses built-in windows utilities for some things. So it IS possible that windows explorer is used in some way when the game searches for save files. I'm not really 100% sure, but an educated guess would leave me to believe that this might be the cause of your problem!
I'm glad to know your problem is solved, that's cool that you took the initiative instead of just waiting for me to find a solution! Anyway, I'll still be releasing version "g" later today, with some minor bug fixes.

No...unfortunately I can't figure out why you're getting that problem at all. I've tested the game on my other 3 computers and had no problem. In addition, I've asked 2 beta testers to try it out and they also had no problems with it. The one tester just told me about some bugs, so I'll be fixing all of that soon (again). I'm going to hope that one of those fixes your problem too...but I have no idea what's going on to be honest with you.
Just give me until tomorrow, I'm going to be uploading the new version with the bug fix-- and hopefully might fix your problem along the way.
Don't get the wrong idea though, the list of new features ISN'T for the demo, it's for the full release which will be available in about 2 months... I'm sorry if you misunderstood-- I've revised the blog to make that clearer.
Thanks for the interest in the game-- and your patience. Clearly I'm going to need to do more much extensive bug tests with the full release.

Hmm...when does the problem occur? I'll take a look at it tomorrow; sometimes I have to try it on different computers because it works on mine, but doesn't on other computers. I'm sorry to hear that though...
