elevator - vx ace
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't it just be easier to make a separate map for the elevator? Then on a separate map you can just make use of the screen shaking event (and some sounds) to give the impression of the elevator moving. Or is there something more specific that you're looking to portray?
RPGVXAce Editor has stopped working
I'm pretty sure there is only two things that could be wrong:
1. What trihan suggested, a virus/worm or something of that nature.
2. Something broke in the registry.
I'm pretty sure VXA leaves registry files behind even when you uninstall it (most software does), therefore it's likely that something in the registry is messed up and because the program can't find what it's looking for it just hangs.
Good luck finding a solution, hopefully the staff can help you out.

Also, did you try contacting the staff over at RPG Maker Web? Or perhaps asking on their forums...that's the official website, so if anyone could help you-- it's them.

Title screen invalid image type
The image is too "high-res" you need to change the format from "RGB" to "Indexed". This will ultimately ruin the image quality for the most part, but RPG Maker 2k3 doesn't support such high quality images.

Yes, you're missing something. The options you have available are based on the RPG_RT version you provide. For example: RPG Maker 2000 will allow all of the options to be changed, however-- if you use 2k3 your options are severely limited. Unfortunately, it seems you're using 2k3, so there isn't much that this software can do for you.

Nothing reasonable, I just don't really like mini games. Or card games for that matter. Well I do like one or two games which I don't remember much.
Alright, that's fine. Thanks for being honest. I think that's why it's important that mini-games remain optional, I hate when you're forced to play them to progress.

Excerpt from the help file:
"Movie Resources
Movie resources are stored in the Movies folder. OGV (Ogg Theora) files are the only format you can use.
